Coach Herman rocking the Sundog eyewear. I like it.

I think this is a great hire. What he had to deal with losing 2 QB's this year and have the offense not miss a beat is really impressive.

At Rice in 2007 and 2008, which included the 10-3 team that averaged 41.3 ppg

& DC David Gibbs is saying he wants to stay on to coach the defense which was ranked top10 nationally. If Herman can get the offense going we can return to prosperity.

I was concern with what Mr. Gibbs would do, I'm relived for his decision to remain here in Houston... You right Will, if Herman delivers the goods, Houston shouldn't have no problem cruising to being rank next season.

Yep, and hopefully, for years to come as well.

I don't think very many new head coaches have a whole lot of success their first year on the job and even less their first year as a head coach ever. Still a great hire though.

most teams dont fire coaches on 7-5 regular season on 2 consecutive bowl years with most of the starters returning

most new head coaches are taking over bad situations ..houston isnt a bad situation and houston isnt a rebuilding job.. almost all our defensive staff is expected to stay...

You right zfred... Not many head coaches do well in their first year or two... Houston however, isn't your ordinary team, there's plenty talent in place and make a head coach with good brains look like a football genius.

Well, luckily the damage from Levine's inability didn't hit us so hard yet. If this guy is flop, we might be boned.

Herman runs a pretty awesome fast spread type offense, difficult to contain... I'm confident Herman is gonna be fine.

Question that crosses my mind however; Who is currently recruiting for us right now?!?
