If (just an "if" here) he was not eligible for the second semester, then his departure doesn't surprise me. I agree with others who have said transferring to a Div. 2 school would make sense with his situation. Without a waiver, he doesn't have much Div. 1 eligibility remaining.

I'm gonna say he's academically not eligible to play because of things he didn't do at THE University of Toledo this past fall. If that's the case, he wouldn't be eligible to play this spring at a Div. 2 school either. Again, I'm only speculating though.

RE: Applewhite
Maybe we should petition the NCAA to give Aparicio a sixth year of eligibility since he was injured for 2 seasons.

The good news is that we have one more scholarship to give now.

I tried to find an answer to this, but it's damn near impossible. There are 4-2-4 and 4-4 transfer rules and many different sub rules under those (the numbers indicate the school level, 4-year or 2-year). The NCAA's rules don't come close to covering every scenario and it's up to Applewhite and his parents, former coaches, potential future coaches, etc. to find out from the NCAA what his options are at this point.

If he enrolls in another school, there's serious red flags when he you're enrolled in three schools in three years. Whatever issues he had at previous schools, will most likely follow him to the next school.

Buffalo actually just picked up a different troubled transfer in Torian Graham. 5 star, top 50 recruit in high school committed to NC State, ended up going JUCO, then signed with Houston as a 4 star JUCO before suddenly leaving Houston in November without playing a game. very strange and I won't be holding my breath that he actually ends up playing here.

To be clear I wasn't implying the Bulls went for troubled transfers. You just go a couple guys from us who tturned out to be pretty good in Moss and Freelove.

Oh no I wasn't accusing you of anything. Just found it funny that you brought up Buffalo when in fact they just got someone else from a similar set of circumstances.
