2015 Bowls and Conference Opponents
Does anybody have the bowls for next year and the conferences we are matched up against.

If my memory serves correctly next year most/all of our bowls are against other G5's, no?

IE even WORSE than this year...which is amazing in itself because this year our bowl line up sucks.

yes, next year is beyond horrible. birmingham and one other are the only p5 matchups.

I hope Cincinnati gets matched up with FIU in the Boca Bowl next year just to read your rants.

Well, seeing as Tulsa would have tripple their win total just to get eligible to go to the Boca Bowl, that might be the bright-spot of your season...

RE: 2015 Bowls and Conference Opponents
I believe next season we have 7 bowls for 12 teams...

2015 Season
Birmingham Bowl, Birmingham, Ala. – vs. SEC
Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, Fla. – vs. Conference USA
Miami Beach Bowl, Miami, Fla. – vs. Conference USA
Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, Annapolis, Md. – vs. ACC
Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, Honolulu, Hawaii – vs. Mountain West
Boca Raton Bowl, Boca Raton, Fla. – vs. MAC
Cure Bowl, Orlando, Fla. - vs. Sun Belt

Some great travel destinations on that list...

The bowls are much better on even year seasons. Maybe we can get an access bowl bid next year to go with the two p5 opponents. That's not a great outlook, admittedly.

This sounds vaguely familiar... Where have I heard it before?

Oh, wait.

UCF will likely be going to the Inaugural Cure Bowl in Orlando. UCF returns to the Citrus Bowl after 8 years.

It's Access or Cure Bowl, if we become bowl eligible.

Why is the St Pete bowl going back to CUSA from the ACC? I hadn't seen that.

As well...don't we think BYU will be in the mix somewhere?

And to the OP, what is the problem with this year's Bowl games...a lineup of Florida, NC State, BYU, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech? No G5 games. Maybe the teams aren't great but that makes the games more winnable.

BYU has the Pointsettia Bowl for 2015 bowls

AAC might keep cure for the inaugural bowl. If a P5, say ACC, is looking for a home (no St. Pete next year), CUSA could be looking at another MAC matchup in BR.

Totally agree with this. The matchups this year are great. All winnable games vs P5 or BYU (also P5 in my book)

RE: 2015 Bowls and Conference Opponents
I expect another deal where we sell off a lower bowl to get a better opponent in the Miami bowl.

As it is now, every even year we get either at least 4 "p5" opponents (as in this year) and only 2 in odd years. Need to get the odd years up to at least 3. Not sure why they did it this way, rather than having 3 every year.

The old BE had some bad bowls too, such as the International bowl vs. the MAC (who thought up that idea), and the St Pete bowl with a permanent CUSA opponent. Even the B'ham bowl had a CUSA opponent prior to getting SEC in there.

We needed an extra filler bowl for the bottom of our lineup and the Sun Belt just needed bowls period.

Isn't the right time to complain about the bowl games is AFTER your Conference win at least 3 out of the 5?04-chairshot

Be thankful, this might be the Sun Belt's premier bowl tie in.

It reminds me of the CUSA years. When the 6th or 7th best SEC team would complain about playing in the Liberty Bowl, but to us that was the Super Bowl.
