I think that is already determined. But I don't know the whole details, just a short stated that the MW commissioner said the MW was rated #1.

Also, this year the AAC gets $11 million and the Sunbelt also since they are only 11 teams. There is no straight $12 million to the conference unless the conference has 12 or more members.

What was the Big East/AAC payout as an AQ to the BCS bowls?

Under the BCS system, the Big East used to receive $18 million as its AQ share, the same as all the other AQ conferences, though a conference could get $4.5 million more if it placed a second team in the BCS bowls, which the Big East never did.

Doesn't look like it. Looks like they are talking about the 1 million per conference team pay out plus the 4 million for access bowl

But we do have pretty good TV exposure.

We'll see how it all looks next year.

This year the access simply got away from the AAC... AAC members are aggressively employing better coaches, I doubt this repeats itself.

Amazing.

Payouts for our bowls vs MWC bowls:

AAC:

Miami Beach ... TBD
St Pete .............. 537k
Military ............. 1m
Armed Forces... 675k
Birmingham ..... 900k

Total: $3.1m + Miami Beach

MWC:

Hawaii ............... $650k
Poinsettia ......... $613k
Potato ............... $325k
Las Vegas ........ $1.35m
New Mexico ..... $456k

Total: $3.4m

So you are correct: for example the ACC is getting $15m for its non-CFP bowls, more than twice what we and the MWC get put together.

And none of that even counts the media contracts by which the B12 gets 10x the amount of the AAC...

RE: 2014 CFP Payouts (P5 and G5)
It wasn't expressly stated by the OP, but the way it works is that the CFP money is mainly split up 6 ways and the G5 splits one share, while the P5 EACH gets an equal share. Hence the big disparity. Full disclosure though is that this is A LOT more than what those G5 conferences got previously, except the Big East, which went down, but then again that only affected 3 schools...who I am sure are getting more money from exit fee's.

This is where the Big 12 is having their cake and eating it to...they get a full share and only divide it between 10 members while the B1G, SEC and ACC have to split theirs up 14 ways. I am not sure what Notre Dame gets.

Here's the thing to remember. BYU, Army & Navy got NOTHING. Won't ever get that million until they join a conference as Navy is doing. That additional financial pressure may push them to join the American in FB when TV contracts are renegotiated.

We could certainly use that additional $4 mill though...and keep it out of Boise's hands...if you recall they have a sweetheart deal that allows them to keep most of their earned money if they are the access participant, something Aresco wouldn't agree to. They came out on the winning end this season.

The only problem with a sweetheart deal is that it creates lingering animosity between conference members.

Aresco has clearly said the exit fee's are there to bridge the gap to the new TV contract.

Notre Dame gets $3.75m, essentially what the typical P5 conference member gets from the $50m base that each P5 conference gets.

Which is about what they received from the BCS...interesting that this number didn't go up substantially like most everyone else. Of course ND's ACC payout should be more that it received from the Big East, just from TV revenue alone.

BTW... FWIW, Army, Navy, and BYU split $922,000 this year from the CFP. About the average of what a single G5 school is getting.

RE: 2014 CFP Payouts (P5 and G5)
So the ACC got 30% more, than all the G5s combined.

I've got to 03-lmfao at that so I don't 03-weeping

At the risk of turning this into another realignment thread... How can the B12 look at those numbers, knowing they probably would have been in the ACCs boat with a championship game, and say adding 2 teams doesn't make sense? Hell add Southern Alabama and Buffalo. The lack of a championship game cost them $25.5m + the TV contract for the CCG (let's say $6m). That's $31.5m!
