I am just so grateful to all of them for the huge sacrifices they make so we can live the free life
that we do in America and watch such activities as Bowl Games.

Having said that....I still want the Broncos to beat Air Force. RTB

I too want to see the Broncos ground Air Force.

I think both schools should bring their sky teams and have a flight competition too. The Sky Broncos vs the Sky Falcons or whatever they call them.

oh please, a joke is a joke but this is absurd, sure, a flight demonstration from the Air Force would be cool but this would not be a fair fight.

Apparently you don't remember the Sky Brroncos winning the national championship a few years ago, beating Emry Riddle, Air Force and other traditional flight school powers. The fact is the Sky Broncos have been one of the top 5 teams in the country for years.

By the way, this year the Sky Broncos won the regional championship and finished 4th in the national championship behind Southern Illinois, Embry Riddle and North Dakota in that order. I have no clue where Air Force finished.

I have always thought a minimum of two years.

Here too. That is what it is like in Germany. There, if you are a conscientious objector then you can serve 6 years in the civilian corps instead of the 2 years in the military.

Not sure if WMU has ever not won the regional championship, and has finished top 5 at nationals for over 20 years running. There was a sign along I94 between Portage and Sprinkle that said "Out fly the Airforce Academy". WMU's College of Aviation is internationally recognized with, at one point, contracts to train pilots for British Airways, and Emirates. The Emirates contract was cancelled in 2003 I believe because customs was highly suspicious of 20 young Arab men showing up saying "we're here to learn to fly" every few months.

Yeah, no disrespect to the aviation program. I got invited to Battle Creek the day of the Concorde fly-in, which was awesome. They were celebrating the Brit training contract. WMU aviation is first class.

Still, 2 seater vs. Military jet is not a fair fight. Sorry if I offended anyone!

It is my understanding that all flight teams compete in similar equipment. If they could compete in F-15's, F-16's and A-10's of course the Air Force would, never, lose to anyone except maybe Navy. But because this is an intercollegiate competition, National Intercollegiate Association, ass the governing body set and enforce the rules to ensure fair competition.

lol I'm not actually trying to argue. I'm just trying to say on a level playing playing field the Sky Broncos are and have been better than Air Force.

NIFA flight competitions are a bit different than you probably think. Most of the events are ground based events such as aircraft recognition, or flight calculation competitions. There are flying events like spot landing, arial drop, and navigation events.
