And, say what you will about Coach Hunter, the kids sure seem to love playing for him.

They should; he is on the court with them half the time.

Its a nickname he earned at NC State and re-earned at Kentucky due to him getting "sick" before big games and not playing. I believe it was derived from the movie, Friday.
Day-Day: I got the BGs
Craig Jones: What's the BGs?
Day-Day: The bubble guts, I'm nervous and I'm bout to sh*t on my self
Hmm. I'm curious if it had anything to do with what was going on with his dad. I remember him saying that he couldn't play a game after it happened without having a feeling of dread in him the whole time he played.

His dad suffered a stroke before the start of the season at Kentucky. After the season, he was approved to be transferred to be close to his father, however, some speculate that with the Harrison Twins coming in at Kentucky, he would be riding the pine. His absence from games at Kentucky could have been because of his dad, but not while at NC State.

I would have thought so, yet here we are. It'll likely be a two horse race this year, good luck in the regular season.

I have no issue with RJ other than his attitude on the court. I see him as a taunting/talker type of player which fans of his team love and opponents hate. The coach must be well liked as he seems to be able to attract skilled players. I actually thought Manny Atkins was the most critical player for GaState last year and was a thorn in the side of the Cajuns. You can have guys who score a bunch but don't affect the game in other ways, and I thought Atkins was one of those guys. He could hit the big shot (and did against the Cajuns) but he also did the dirty work without being a "me" type of player. I've always appreciated that type of player. I really like Harrow as well who looked like he was almost unguardable at times. He's such a herky-jerky penetrator it's hard to stay with him and he kept Ga State in the game against the Cajuns in the tournament last year.
The Cajuns this year are a little bit of work-in-progress at this time with three new starters, but they show some talent and I think will continue to improve over the course of the year as they get more court time together. I'm hoping we can finish in the top 3-4 by the end of the year.
