Point 1: It was only 6000 tickets
Point 2: 6000 tickets in 2 days is still not bad
Point 3: We have over two weeks to sell 6000+ more.
I optimistically think we'll have a packed house for this one.

Might as well give all the tickets to UCF. It's gonna be very hard on NC State fans since the game is the day after Christmas. From the poll on their board, it looks like alot of them are not traveling for this one

Does that mean we'll have three home stadiums in one season?

Do you think that from a perception perspective that those looking into the "microscope" see this as home game or do they see this as answering the question does UCF "travel well" ?
My opinion is that this is perceived as virtually a home game for UCF and high turn-out is expected. Anything less than a high turn-out by UCF will be seen as a disappointment.*
* And I know that its over 100 miles to the stadium from Campus.

I don't think the powers that be are looking at this game, because it's the St. Pete bowl, so the point is moot.
For last year however, while I don't think we sold out half of UoP stadium in Arizona, we had a respectable presence. I bet if it was the Sugar Bowl we would have sold out and then some.

I know I can't make it as well as some other season ticket holder friends. The 26th was the one day that was out, i was bummed when the ACC lost Citrus bowl, cost us the Belk bowl. Oh well, will be watching it that night and hope next season the bowl game will not be the 26th. Should be a good game. Go Pack!

I find it very hard to believe that State, at any point would be playing Georgia.

Sure it's practically a home game, a big UCF presence is expected, but not selling it out would have been really bad for UCF so this is a good thing. None of the critics hesitated to chastise UCF for not selling its allotment out for the Fiesta Bowl, even though a good portion chose to pay much less thru 3rd party vendors like Stub Hub. Of course UCF is going to exploit this as much as possible. These are sensitive times.

Well at least it's better than the last time we were in St. Pete against Ball State.
"The school sold a little more than 5,000 tickets out of an allotment of 8,000, although a number of UCF fans bought tickets through a secondary market for a lesser price." Considering the attendance was almost 22k, I'm sure lots of UCF fans bought through a secondary market for that game
This game should definitely be a sellout, however. NC State>>>Ball State

I hope the Pack have a good crowd, but I can't blame them for not being all that jazzed about the game.

Not to mention that for our first trip there against Rutgers, UCF sold out three separate allotments of tickets and had well over 20,000 fans in St. Pete. Poor Rutgers had the tiniest section but they got the last laugh in the end after whipping us.

I think we'll have more than 20,000 considering how far the program has grown since then. NC State will also have less fans than Rutgers because of the date of the game

UCF officially sold over 14K for the 2009 St Pete Bowl and had another 6-7K in attendance via ticketmaster tickets.
The game officially sold out so it was essentially 20K UCF fans, 3K Rutgers, and 6-7K locals.
I'm pretty confident we can sell 15K+ via UCF this time and put close to 23K in the stadium.

RE: UCF Sells Out Bowl Allotment in 2 Days - Requests Bowl for More
There was a sweet livingsocial deal for cheaper tickets that UCF fans gobbled up as well. Glad to see that UCF isn't on the hook for those seats as we sold out our obligation.
From lurking around, it doesn't seem that nc state fans even know about the promotion so those seats should all be black and gold and/or locals.
It will look and sound as good as possible on TV. Sort of like the UCF USF game a few weeks ago but probably louder with the band and the dome.
Looking forward to it.

Sucks that UCF is being charged more than what other people are paying

I got to attend the UCF/Ball State bowl game the last time we went to St. Pete, not too many people showed up. This is a whole different critter playing an ACC school, though. Maybe I'll have actual fans to sit next to this time.

It'll sound good and look good for the most part, except when they do a wide view of the stadium that shows the empty seats that were cut off. Looking back, they unfortunately had a handful of those views for the Ball State game.

I think the fanbase has turned the corner. The turnout for the Noon USF game on Black Friday convinced me. It's a combination of the Fiesta Bowl run & 8 seasons playing in the OCS that has school pride at an all time high. Good news
