I’m no Silverfield fan but I doubt they had anything to do with it.

They write the checks to pay his and the staff's salaries. I'm pretty sure they were involved. If they are tired of paying the "arms race" $$$ coach salary escalation brings, they might get disinterested quickly.

I’m talking about us being left out because of our coach. That had nothing to do with us being left out in the summer of 2021

I think it all depends on Oregon and Washington. If they stay the conference stays together. Colorado is an outlier. They were stupid to leave the Big 12 to start with. Thinking they’d get more Southern California students

I would even be surprised if those choices aren't ranked in order of preference. Pac-12 schools, then 1500 miles away UConn for some unknown reason, then Memphis and so forth.

Driving down the road I just heard McMurphy on Jason/John show say that MEMPHIS had NO CHANCE and WASN'T EVEN CONSIDERED when the big 12 chose Cincinnati/BYU/Houston/UCF.

He also said that when the Big12 didn't expand in 2016 that we were even behind Tulane.

He said at least this time we are or will be considered if no more Pac 10 teams go to the big 12---one of 4

It's amazing to me that the guy that most consider the main guy in realignment circles------didn't even have a clue that we were told twice by the big 12 that we were 100% in---how out of touch McMurphy is---he needs to be STAMMERED LOL---whats even more amazing is that people really think that we were ---P.T. Barnum LOL----a guy from the far north was told but not McMurphy ---you can't make this stuff up

Brett McMurphy was just interviewed and said that it the Big 12 does not get another Pac-12 team then Memphis is one of the four G5 schools that will be considered for 2024 to get the Big12 to 14.

If no one else defects, and the article is correct, we're in.

UConn - Is not going. They aren't leaving the Big East again.
SDSU - Will be the one school going to the PAC
UNLV - We can beat them head-to-head academically, on the field, budget, and market.

That leaves us. If this guy is right, and no one else leaves the PAC, we are the most likely pick.
