Very glad to see this post. Now I KNOW we have ourselves a very good football coach!

BTW, Tulsa has been down for 2 years. 3 years ago we went 11-3, winning the CUSA championship over UCF & beating Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl.
We also beat Houston that year, 41-7, in Houston.

Houston does have some good & knowledgeable posters, just not this one.

Whatever, don't get mad at me because your AD made an idiotic hire. Who hires a coach with no connections? Mack does, I guess Tulsa AD does as well.....oh by the way....100-6

You do realize 100-6 is more of an insult to the lack of sportsmanship on the part of Houston than it is to Tulsa right? Shows that you could beat a team who was devastated with the flu and run up the score (scoring 7 times in the forth.)

Only reports I have seen have listed in the vicinity of 1.4m

Tulsa is really good about keeping the exact numbers quiet. But the reports are usually pretty accurate.

This could be huge. We also just hired his former HS coach as an assistant.

I don't know 03-idea kid is leaning heavily toward Montgomery. After listening to a interview by him. He views Montgomery as one of his main confidants. Montgomery told him he has to make up his own mind and do what is best for him. Which is true. When you get recruited over with a higher ranked recruit at your position, it kind of makes up your mind. He could still wind up some place like Tech but I doubt it.

He'll be commited to Tulsa by end of this week. He is very close to Montgomery and new Co-OC Sterlin Gilbert. The first coach he contacted upon learning that Jared Stidham had flipped from Tech to Baylor, was not Briles, he called Monty.

Get ready Pony, a recruiting blitz is about to ensue, and the metroplex is squarely in Monty's crosshairs. The Monty's staff will be epic, his new staff is finishing up bowl games, not checking in equipment and grading High School mid-terms.
