There is no way any team playing there will come close to breaking even. They will lose a lot of money.

Agree with this. The Bahamas sounds great and is a nice little trip/reward for the kids, but it's probably the most unattractive bowl game all-around. Drains the budget, and the game is being played on Christmas Eve.

I'll say AFA (-12). O/U sounds about right.

A little ironic that we're playing our bowl game in Boise, considering Fleck's ultimate vision of making our program the next Boise St.

For how many symbols he's introduced to the program, he should appreciate said symbolism of a game in Boise!

That's impractical on so many levels, but it is fun to say.

From what I've heard, CMU isn't sending their band, and may not being sending even the cheer/dance teams. Some CMU friends of mine priced the trip to the game out at about $2500 WITHOUT airfare

That's incredible, and it's being played on Christmas Eve. Bahamas Bowl has a lot working against it. If the International Bowl couldn't sustain, I don't think this bowl game will last longer than a couple years.

The only line that I've found so far (sportsbetting.ag) has us as a 3 point favorite with an o/u of 55 1/2. I'll be curious to see what the big houses have as the opening line.

They are popping up now. Looks like Vegas has us as a favorite, by between 1 1/2 and 3 points.

Horrifies me, but we were 10-2 against the spread this year (tied with TCU for best in the nation)

LOL. If it horrifies you, imagine what it does to Air Force fans. "What? We are underdogs to a MAC school that lost 11 games last year?" HAHAHAHA

Wow. We're a 3pt favorite? I'm betting against that.... that way, I win either way!!

I wouldn't touch that game with a 10" pole.... lol.

CMU is favored to lose by only 1.5pts. WKU is more impressive than NIU. Sure, each upset a top-G5 team, but WKU also blew BGSU's ****** wide open in their opening game. I would bet on WKU beating that spread.

I was informed if we went to the Bahammas we also would not have been sending, cheer, band, dance.........a shame. But I think that's why the Bahammas Bowl fell so far that they had to accept CMU.

A better bowl for a bigger money league. Sounds need, the reality of it is not good.

I'm betting Jarvion Franklin has a lot to do with WMU being favored. Air Force has to find a way to stop them with their undersized D-line (product of being a service academy, guys have to meet weight restrictions)

I would think Marshall easily covers that spread, logically. But I should probably stop underestimating NIU. They may be smoke and mirrors, but they just keep winning.

... and how is Jarvion Franklin's injury coming along?

Any news on the health of Jarvion and the team in general?

Don't know if we've gotten any news since the NIU game. He obviously wasn't 100% during that game, but he was still effective. But with 3 weeks to heal a minor ankle injury, he should be ready to roll for the bowl game.

I'm guessing his box score will look like:

They are not as small as they used to be. They have allowed football players to be larger during playing career as long as they pass fitness tests. But they have to lose a crap load of weight before graduation. Read a good article about it a few months ago. They also play a 3-3-5 which we dont usually see, dline is about 260ish across the board.

Edit: looks like they are running a 3-4 now.
