Most of the time no.

Gonna be interesting to see who we hire for Defensive coordinator. Brown points out this will be his most important hire and he wants to get it right rather than making a quick hire to get it done.

I think we will have some epic shootouts in the future. We have a hard time with passing teams and but they usually can't stop us.

If Clark goes to an SEC team, pick up Duwan Walker. Great guy.

Browns offense + Clarks Defense = scary

We tried that once, ended up being a collection of bubble screens and off tackle reads (without the read). If not for the extreme talent of one QB, would have been real ugly. Hopefully, y'alls version will fare much better. I do think it was a good hire and wish Troy the best of luck.

We were very successful with it under brown in the late 00s.... See where our 5 SBC championships came from.

NMSU hired Hal Mumme about the same time.

There were other issues ( scholarship limits ) that kept the bottom line from being better.

But offensive records still stand, and it is certainly interesting to watch.

I'm glad we are play TRoy in AL next season, a couple of bubble screens would drive the Paulson crowd nutz.

I think we'll at least improve some. Hard not to at 3-9. There's certainly reason for optimism. We have retained our OC Kenny Edenfield (Troy '10-'14). Though Neal Brown will be calling plays, according to Brown. They'll make a nice pair, I believe. DC will be Neal's most important hire. I've decided to modify my post to take a more relaxed approach this offseason. Should be a fun ride.

Browns offense + Clarks Defense = scary

Clark is a good coach, but his defense being scary? UAB gave up 30 points a game this season and JSU gave up 23 points per game in 2013. 23 points per game is a good defense, but it is not a great defense. It would, however, be a much improved coaching staff for Troy.
