Before the UAB game the Director of the Sugar Bowl said the winner of USM- UH would be going to the Sugar Bowl. So yes, if we don't lose to UAB we go to the Sugar Bowl. We finished ranked 19th in the final BCS rankings so if we had not lost to UAB we would have been ranked a good bit higher.
