What happened pre-game? What was the fuss all about? Who got it started?

From what we saw, some WKU guys were talking trash and got too close to our guys warming up. A little taunting and it went crazy from there.

WKU has a solid team and Doughty is a great QB but he needs to cut the slashing gestures to the crowd and opposing team. Not cool.

Good luck to the 'toppers in their bowl!

Didn't a Marshall play get flagged for doing the same against an FAU player? Did the refs not flag that this game?

Yes he did and got his butt benched. No flag on Doughty, refs must not have seen it.

Game was over. Kinda hard to flag. I saw what he did and I'm sure it was pure emotion that got the best of him, He's been clean as a whistle his whole time at WKU

I don't know what was said to Doughty pregame, but he took offense to it and mentioned it post game that it really got him going...

I'm sure it was WKUs players fault. SMH "got to close" LOL are they sick? Do they need to be in quarantine?

Doughty said. "I'm trying to compete with myself. They made a couple of comments before the game that shook me the wrong way and it motivated me to put up a big performance."

I don't wanna hear any of our fans bitching about WKU's behavior. They disrespect you, you go out there and smack them in the face in the game. This was the softest game we have played in two years. We talk the talk, but we sure as hell didn't back it up today.
