ULL attendance question
I thought ULL only counted tickets scanned at the gate? If so the scanners were broken and double scanning every single ticket as it looked more like 9-10k than the announced 20,638, I guess we can officially assume ULL counts tickets sold like everyone else.

I agree, but there were handful of ULL fans that swore up and down they only counted scanned tickets, we need no further proof than this week to definitively prove its obvious not the case.

While it wasn't a great crowd, and we consider 20k a poor crowd. You are incorrect, there is now way we fit 4 times the people we had Saturday. The stadium... Was about half full.. Which is about 20k. The announced attendance was about right, granted a late crowd.

I have to disagree. Announced attendance looks pretty spot on at the Jags' games. Infuriating!

Just rewatched the game and it would be lucky to have 12k (1/3 full) at the 2nd quarter. No way in hell thats a 20+k(55% full) crowd when Cajun Field holds 36,900.

Halfway into said 2nd quarter, uppers on home sideline was 75% empty as well. 12k is about the max that was there.

I was in the stadium 20,000 was in the stadium did you view the upper deck, the grass and all the people not sitting in seats. Better yet were you in the stadium if not ask someone from app st that was there.

I have and he agrees with the 12k guesstimate. Here are your 75% empty uppers. [Image: 1stquarter.jpg]

It seats 36,900... Holds 42k. I've Benny to almost every game for my entire life, there were 20k there. I have no reason to try to skew this number, no reason at all. It's funny that someone who has a 26k capacity stadium will try to argue with me what my stadium looks like half full.

That's clearly at the intro of the game... You know, before kick off.

It has nothing to do with knowing ones stadium better. Its simple math, when you need a 55% full stadium to to get to the announced attendance and its clear that there is far more than 50% of the aluminum showing the math just doesnt add up.

Respectfully disagree. Take all the folks in the endzone seating and put them in the 31k configuration that was our previous seating... We had 20K

But, yall go ahead and argue about, ok... :)

No but you know what it does have something to go with? Being around when we did have 9-10k... I know what that looks like...I know what 3300 looks like in our stadium ok? I damn sure know what 20k looks like. Somehow, a guy gets a glance at our stadium on tv and knows what our stadium looks like with set number of people.

RE: ULL attendance question
The way I look at this if the schools says there are over 20,000 fans there then that's how many was there. Until the NCAA starts upholding their attendance rules you can say what you want. Makes no difference. I am not saying that there isn't that many there. I will let the ULL guys determine that.

RE: ULL attendance question
Attendance was about 20K after every one got in the game.

The real issue it brings up is that the casual Cajun fan does not want to show up for games against teams that we have zero tradition with, or are not well known nationally or in our region.

This is why I think regional conferences, that make travel sense for the fan base, and have built in geographic rivalries make so much more sense.

Not many Cajun fans are excited to show up to watch Ga State, App State, or Georgia Southern. Just like no one knew about or cared about the F_U's when they were in the SunBelt.

I personally looked forward to the App game, but like I said the casual fan could care less.

We would have a better crowd for Southern Miss, Tulane, La Tech, Houston all day long, any day, no matter if they were good or not. Thus regional conferences make more sense,

The TV shows the visitor sections to the left and the student section right of midfield and endzone. It doesn't show the double decker sections during the game.

I think the students were on Thanksgiving break because the student sections, the red zone, is always full no matter who we are playing.

For most games the stadium is full except for the visitor sections usually.
