Owls played UTEP tough both games this year. We're hoping Rhoades takes the Rice program to UTEP's level.

So how many final standings do we know currently? Rice, UTSA and UNT were all 8-10 in conference play but each went 2-2 against each other. If those are the only 8-10 teams, we'd have to look at best conference win, correct?

Tech is still the only team that has clinched their seed. However, barring a miracle comeback, UTEP will clinch the 2 seed if ODU hangs on. WKU would also clinch the 5 seed with the loss.

It would but I doubt that happens. Good luck trying to figure out the tiebreaker if it's a six way tie! My guess is MT will end up 6th all alone at 9-9. And I think FIU might lose at UAB as well. So I think ultimately it will be a four way tie for places 7-10. UNT has the best conference win if they use that for any tie-breakers.

ODU is damn good at home. They are running WKU out of the gym.

ODU wins by 23.
