So far, we are an inconsistent team with little production off the bench (in contrast to last year team where we got a lot of points from our bench). How is your team doing, UTEP fans?

Vince Hunter has been a beast for UTEP this year. He has had two bad games and UTEP lost both of them. He is averaging a double double 16.7 points and 10 rebounds. The team hasn't been shooting the ball well from behind the 3 point line but Ervin Morris got extremely hot. He is shooting 48% from the floor and 49% from 3 point. UTEP can play big with Matt Wilms(7'1") and Cedric Lang (6'10") on the floor at the same time with Hunter 6'8", Washburn 6'8" and either Omega Harris 6'2" or CJ Cooper 6'. If this team had shot the ball as well as it did on our road trip last week then we would have not have lost a game IMO. It has taken a little time for the two new guys (Morris & Harris) to adjust to the team and coach Floyd. I thought we should have been 12-2 at this point.

Thanks for the info - anyone with an inside game could kill us (so far). And yes, Vince Hunter is a beast.

UTSA 54 USM 34

Runners do this all the time. Smoke a solid team randomly.

USM is really far away from being a solid team this year. They were in for a rough year when the season started and they lost two contributors after the first semester.

They'll be lucky to finish outside the bottom 4 in the conference.

Congrats on the win though!

WKU beats Charlotte 74-66. Really tough game. That Charlotte zone is nasty.

You're probably right winning against a 5-7 team isn't all that great. Runner bball has struggled for so long I'll take 2-1 in conference play

That's a great win, Hilltoppers.

I think your entire team should go out drinking 'til 4:00 in the morning to celebrate!

They'll need a rest after this game. Maybe they should go out tomorrow night instead?

They're in college. Why not both nights? And bloodys for Saturday brunch?

Don't look now but after a bad non conference stretch, UAB is 2-0 in CUSA with FIU coming to town Saturday. We aren't where we need to be yet, but I think this extremely young team is growing up.

I have a bad feeling WKU players might need a drink after we play ODU

After OOC I don't blame anyone for sleeping on us. We have been trying to gel A LOT of freshmen into the lineup. Our bench has always been strength under White, and with this many Freshmen, it takes time. We still have some growth to do, but it's a long season. But this road win was HUGE!
