Tim Brando discussing UAB situation
Tim Brando will be talking about Alabama politics roadblocking UAB tomorrow 11/25 on his radio show at 11:30AM. UAB HC Bill Clark and Birmingham Newswriter Kevin Scarbinsky will be on the show as well.

Here are some of Tim Brando's tweets:

"Pretty pathetic that good ole boy politics is a roadblock for a group of good people trying to do the right thing at UAB. Exposed tomorrow!"

"The week of the Iron Bowl is the perfect time for this story to gather legs. I'll explore on a National platform. @SiriusXMCollege ch.91."

"I've long been aware of it but simply didn't have time to explore it. I did today. It's awful. Sadly, others afraid. Not me."

Brando like my wife went to Northeast. Despite that he is good for football and is quick to shed light on stuff like this. I hope he rips BOT a new one.

I hope it does some good but I think it will take this going to a bigger audience to shame the BOT into backing off.

Scarbinsky will be on at 9:30 and Clark will be on at 11:30. Central time I think.

RE: Tim Brando discussing UAB situation
The best thing about Brando is that he gives coverage to a wide range of schools from SEC down to Southland schools. It's not the SEC, Big 10, and Famous Jameis show like Cowherd and Van Pelt shows. I really wish he was on ESPN radio to reach a larger audience but I believe the mother ship wouldn't exactly vibe with his program choices.

I'm assuming that since it's on Sirius XM, this won't be online anywhere, right?

Hope someone at least gets a transcript. The Tuscaloosa mayor, a UAB grad, was also preaching the good word on local radio this morning. State Rep Jack Williams is currently holding a press conference to discuss changes to the BOT. Red Alert in Blazerland.

I think I've heard him on "regular" radio recently, in the Nashville area. I cannot remember which station.

Brando's show on CBS Sports network always had a Southern Miss helmet prominently displayed on the set.

I was thoroughly impressed with UAB and your coaches Saturday. You all have made leaps and bounds. You have a good solid club that will only get better.
It would be a darn freaking shame to scuttle the program after the improvement that has been made this year. Good luck!

Story needs more national publicity. This would increase pressure on the "powers that be".
