Troy Coach
Probably discussed in a thread I've not seen but...

Is there any talk of pursuing Bill Clark? He's done a great job with UAB in the short time he's been there and by all his comments seems very unhappy with the turmoil.

Troy should go after a FCS coach who has shown the ability to Recruit and Win at the FCS level. Someone who knows how to win tuff recruiting battles with a lesser known program. Someone who wins not because he is at a big program but because he knows his ****.

I know he has put his name in the hat.... But Troy isn't interested.

The search has been narrowed down to a few guys... Expect an announcement by December 1st

Also there is a clear front runner now.

Personally I Hope it's Neal Brown... I would like to have Clark but we are just not interested in him.

I'd hire Clark just to watch the freakout.

For a lot of UAB fans it would be proof that they were dropping football. Their board might self combust if you guys poached clark a couple days before their survey is released.

RE: Troy Coach
As much as Troy fans would like to think some immature UAB posters would blow a gasket if Bill Clark was to become Troy's coach (which btw, I don't believe one word Atlanta Trojan is saying), even the most sensible Blazer poster understand the AD and President has completely screwed him over. Troy would be blessed to have Clark as coach but something tells me he will be able to aim higher if in fact UAB does loses their football program.

Doesn't matter if you believe me or not... He has expressed interest in the job.

For him to get the Troy job several guys ahead of him would have to decline our offer.

Bill Clark would be an incredible coup. I think UAB fans know he is getting screwed.

I knew he would do a good job... I wanted clark when he was at JSU... But apparently our administration has someone else in mind.

Clark would be stupid not to get his name out there. Most signs have been trending bad for the last couple of weeks.

If Troy has several names ahead of Clark then 1. They have a great list or 2. They are going to make a stupid hire.

My guess is they choose door #2. I just don't have an insane amount of confidence if their rumors that Bill Clark and Neal Brown aren't on their list. If I'm Troy, those two names would be literally at the very top of any of my coaching lists.

I'm worried they are going to hire a Gene Chizik and completely screw up the program.

I can absolutely tell you it will not be a Chizik or nutt

I don't think any UAB fan would be surprised if Clark left for any other job right now and nor would anyone really blame him. I think there's a very high chance that UAB will not have a football program after this week. There is just nothing positive coming from the inside of UAB about the whole BOT ordeal. Everything positive is pressure from the outside: fans, businesses, Birmingham, etc. Our AD giving such pathetic answers on the news is answer enough.

As much as I don't like UAB, I would hate for you guys to lose your football program. Here's to hoping you guys pull through.

Forgive Atlanta Trojan. He hears bits and pieces and apparently makes up the rest.

Clark is/was on the short list.

I'm not a Troy fan because of wins and losses.

The Assistant from Univ of Texas is a candidate. Has the blessings of Charlie Strong. Will get his name later.

UPDATE-
Tommy Robinson, Running Backs Coach, is a candidate for the HC position at Troy.
