RE: Lynch
All the criticism of Lynch has been weird to me. Given our mediocre history of QB play we have a kid come in as a freshman and show he can win games and make plays, yet people still found a way to be negative. It was obvious from the Duke game that we found the long term answer and we still had idiots clamoring for Karam and saying Lynch couldn't play. He still has limitations and makes some head scratching throws occasionally but he's making some noticeable gains. He's going to own our record book when he's finished.

8 rushes today isn't too much. He didn't get hit much either.

He does a pretty good job of sliding to avoid contact as well.

Since we haven't developed any back up this year, I wish he wouldn't run at all.

I was about to ask when Lynch's hater would comment and see he has already begun. Is Lynch still garbage?

Haven't hated on him in this thread. I just pointed out an obvious fact. He will never be able to hit a deep ball. But neither can Peyton Manning. Lynch played very well yesterday

You are correct sir. But I do like Proctor and Mayhew. I think they have upside. I just hope we can hold on to Fuente for one more year.

We may be the team that crashes the party at 12-0 next year if Fuente hangs around.

Frazier is starting to become dependable as well.

RE: Lynch
The only people I think that can be critical of Lynch are the people who were mad that Karam got the ax last year. The only game he didn't look good in was the Ole Miss game and I think that had to do with play calling and talent of the blackbears. He has been improving every since.

RE: Lynch
Lynch was18/23 for 240 yards yesterday and 2 touchdown passes. He also ran for 2 touchdowns.

He had OJT last year in a tough 3-9 campaign. He's going to flip it in his redshirt sophomore season to a 9-3 record and at least a share of the AAC Championship.

His rise this season totally justifies Fuente's decision to play Lynch over Karim last year. The good news is Lynch will be even better as a junior and a senior. The best is yet to come.

I don't understand it either; he's a really good quarterback.

I agree. First, our receivers have improved quite a bit. Having said that, they don't get separation very often, they don't stretch the field with their speed and he still completes a high percentage.

Most quarterbacks would also be padding their stats with a big chunk of his 8 rushing touchdowns.
