Actually, covering the WRs is one thing UConn did, and they did it damn well last night.
Chin up UConn. I went to UC in the 1980s, and have been on the other side of games like this. It ain't fun...
Hell, I've been on the other side of games like this, THIS YEAR.

And not for the offensive line, the receivers would not have gotten open. You just can't rush three, go to zone, and beat the Bearcats. Wait.......it's a circle jerk, now? Oh man, I'm so confused!
I understand you are a bit emotional because UC is arse raping UCONN...but try and control yourself man.
Hmm, I seem to recall a time not long ago when Cincy was in that same position, getting killed in a conference game, and fans were having a supreme meltdown, saying this was their worst team in history, they should shut down the football program, etc.

Worst team in history? Shut down the football program? Sounds like a typical Memphis football season.

I don't care if it takes five years to rebuild the FB program. But there has to be some gradual improvement. I don't see any improvement at all with UConn. They look worse now than when they made Boise & BYU work for it back in September.
Diaco's lost support. If they look like this a year from now, he may be gone (depending on the contract situation).

FWIW, most UC fans I talk to aren't impressed with Diaco. I hope he turns it around for you guys. You deserve better.

UConn's at a hard point in the season... You want to see improvement, but your squad is beat-up and run-down. They aren't likely to "improve" at this point, the goal now is to "survive." Seriously, finish out the year, heal and learn and train on the off-season.
I am not saying "I told you so," but a couple of tried to warn you that this season would be long and brutal. 2 wins is actually pretty good for where I thought this UConn team might be. And they showed well in a number of games.
It WILL get better.

I'm not going to evaluate Diaco on this year. He's still working with Pasqualoni's dumpster fire, not to mention losing the starting qb of the future in Cochran. Our options at qb are absolutely horrendous. Diaco needs a chance to coach his own recruits. If Diaco fails with them, then it's time to pull the plug.
