We were lucky to get out of San Marcos with a win just like 2 ACC teams were lucky to get wins against us.

Bottom line is that we beat them at their place. Conference champs win tight games on the road against good teams. Good teams lose close games at home to conference champs. There shouldn't be a single word from a TXST fan trying to belittle our title.

Georgia Southern will have rings. They will be champs. There are no asterisks.

We didn't make the schedule. We did our job by winning the games that the conference gave us. By the conference rules we are a champion. No asterisk, no "co" in front of it. Even if we lose next week and LA-La wins we are both champions with no "co". If you don't like it, get your university presidents to change the rules. All, I care about is that we're putting a flag on a pole, a trophy in a case and a ring on a bunch of fingers. As for next year, bring it on. You'll be facing a defending conference champion in their home stadium.

So next game, with a win, Ga Southern gets to take a sun belt championship ring away from ULL.

What a perfect way to end our inaugural season!
