I get drained watching these rivalry games. It's like a guy having sex and rolling over and falling to sleep afterwards. My brain is not functioning right now. Im barely even excited. 03-zzz

That's actually how I feel. I felt like I had 3 orgasms after a 3-some. I'm wiped.

Im serious, maybe you are too. I was pouring a drink during a key third down and my hands were shaking.

My wife's only concern was "I hope we win so you won't be in a bad mood the rest of the weekend. Women just don't get it.

Funny but as much anticipation as I had for this game, I really never got worried or too tense. I just knew that this bunch doesn't get flustered. They just keep rowing, knowing that their teammates have their backs and if they all do their jobs, things will work out. We gave up 3 turnovers and won the game. Kind of like CMU last year, giving up 5 TOs and still winning. But, the Chimps found out today that THIS team is not your father's Broncos. They are not last year's Broncos. These guys are on a mission. They are almost there and realistically, they are just getting started.

Future is so bright that PJ has to wear shades. 03-2thumbsup

RE: This game is much to intense to watch
My wife came in when it was 14-0, and said, Looks like we are in trouble.

I told her. I don't think they can stop us from scoring. Their D hasn't stopped chit. A phantom interference call (one of many) and a fumble were the primary reasons for the score. I totally believed we'd score a lot and come back.

I actually got more nervous when we got the lead. Cause just when you think these games at Smelly are over something weird happens.

But I think the curse of Smelly is over. The ending was the total opposite of what I was expecting. The easy pic on the broken route, and the great pic by Celeskar.

By the way, Celeskar may get more NFL looks than Titus Davis. In the last two weeks two very good corners have made life difficult for him. Booker from Miami shut him down and will get a lot of NFL looks too. He played hoops at Miami and only tried football this year.

I don't think I ever was too worried either. Strange times!

The last 8 minutes of the game when CMU had the ball they were literally getting physically punished on every play, gain or no gain. That was amazing to me, hitting harder in the final minutes than in the first quarter.

Never concerned when we were down 14-0. I was thinking 'We still haven't really the ball yet and have the weapons to come back.'

It was when we were up late that I started thinking 'D's probably worn out now.'

Broncos beat a good Central team.

Down by 14, they fought back to win.

Incredible football game and great play by the players and great coaching by Coach Fleck and staff.

Row the Boat....yes, I'm a lapdog and proud of it.

Their Oline and defense are vastly over rated. The sack totals don't reflect how many times Rush had to throw it too quickly.

CMU's DBs are just not good. They give way too much cushion. They try to keep everything in front of them, but in doing so they leave huge gaps. Serpa is a nice player. Walton, who Reaghi says the NFL is drooling over was't nearly as good as Ash was at DT.

CMU is losing a lot.
Davis, Rawls, Walton, Butler (who had a nice game), Lopez and Chirroci LB, Henry and Phillips OL, Wilson and Chapman, and King at DB, and Kinville at TE.

I think they can replace many of them with as good or better players, but Davis, Rawls, Walton, and Chirroci will be very hard to replace. The DBs suck so I doubbt they can get any worse. They have some nice TEs. Phillips will be a loss, but Henry not so much, As for their Oline, Enos turned Oline U into Big Ten wannabe U.

He recruits size first, and dancing ability second. He wants Big Ten size up front, but he doesnt get Big Ten athleticism. Kelly was great at getting buys with dancing ability and putting muscle on them.

Anyway, I really hope they give him another year or two. They could win eight if they win a bowl game. Who would fire an 8 win coach. 01-ncaabbs

It's all right, Boston. I, too have converted over to the nautical side. A while back, too. I kept trying to coax other fellow Broncos fretting over a perceived Smelly Shorts jinx to come in off the ledge - all week. I just knew that this team has a different mentality and attitude.

I said it during the game. As a player and a coach close games never bothered me I actually liked them better. But as a fan I have to be fatalistic because when I am confident we lose every time and not just bronco football.

I still am not in to boat but I am on the dock unhooking the ropes and cheering.

Agree with everything in this, particularly CMU losing a lot next season. I was also thinking that the thing that makes Rawls so good is that he gets the key blocks. There were quite a few plays in the first half where he'd run to the outside and our guy guarding the outside would be completely blocked, leaving nothing but open field for Rawls.

I suppose I should be cheering for CMU in their bowl game but after this win and seeing Dan Enos, it'll be tough. Oh well, by then I'll be ready to cheer for them OOC again.

Speaking of Coax, where is that guy. He was a big Bronco fan, and then he just disappeared after I said he was KazooChip. Very odd 03-no

The CMU-WMU game was probably the best game I saw all year. It was the second of WMU games I got to sit and watch (along with Toledo) and it was just incredible. Big plays, clutch performances, good defense. It had it all. Plus it was meaningful and they took a game in Mt. Pee.

Great day to be a Bronco Saturday was.

I think it was frustrating for me. It could have been worse of course. The two INTs I was not a fan of, and took away from it being 'great'. Seeing Franklin on one of his few open runs, the one toward the end zone run into his blocker because, well, his ankle and couldn't cut -- and we were held to a FG-- that was frustrating. And also Franklin's fumble, too.

With that said, it set things up for our D to have our backs and boy did they ever. That was sweet. And for us to contain Rawls and after their first 2 possessions pretty much shut down their O -- very good.

In the end, not a feeling of a classical "great game"... more like great 1st half offense of ours with mistakes, and a great D after first two possessions, plus thankfully CMU making more mistakes than us to help keep them down!
