What would be the tie breaker if we lose and La Tech wins next week?

You mean kind of like how we were ranked higher in the BCS standings than Rice last year?

It doesn't matter. If Tech plays again like they did today you will be playing Rice in Huntington.

Here's last year's rules, and Marshall had the higher BCS rating in the tiebreak, so we've secured it about as well as we have last year.

In all seriousness, though likely guaranteed since the ODU should hammer LaTech's computer ratings, it's not guaranteed enough for C-USA to definitely announce it.

Its guaranteed. We were 19th and La Tech 50th going into this game. Its over. We arent dropping to 60th with 1 loss. Last year they extended the formula and made up a bunch of ****. Its clear cut this season.

Considering the game's result I think they made the right decision in having the better team host. That should be true this year too if Marshall hosts.

IMO, we would have won in Huntington last year. Rice played a great game, we didn't, just believe the location, and the disappointment the team had going down there, had something to do with it. They should have used it for motivation, but went the other way.

You'll never convince Marshall fans of this. They're convinced the team was so boo-hoo about not hosting that they gifted us 20 points

I'm sorry, but you're doing some pretty good toot if you don't think geography didn't have anything to do with the win over us last year...we didn't adapt and you handed our ass to us...period...if we played you in TX this year would it have been 41-14? I seriously doubt it.. in fact..I'm afraid you might have won...

If Rice wins at LaTech, that secures the game in Houston. 100%. After all, you guys forget, we own the conference office. They jump when we snap our fingers. At least, that was the story some of y'all told last year, and I don't see why we should have lost control of those guys.

J/K

Seriously, though, do y'all really think the home field advantage is worth 17 points to you? I believe you have a greater than average HFA, but 17 points?

I don't trust anything CUSA has their grubby hands in. The screwed us over last year and wouldn't surprise me if they would try and do it again.

This was a tweet from CUSA earlier today...

.@HerdFB will face @LATechFB or @RiceFootball1 in #CUSAChamp Game. Site is not yet official, per tie-breakers. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/c-us...eakers.pdf

My take is in the bolded section should read...We haven't made @#$ up to screw with the system again.

RE: La Tech loss @ ODU guarantees C-USA CG in Huntington
Last year's tie-breaker was unprecedented, and it went Rice's way, period. Why soooo many want to dispute it is a mystery to me, CUSA had more $$'s to make if it went the other way. It went Rice's way and Rice kicked MU's arses. End of story. There was no conspiracy. IF MU takes care of their business next Friday they'll host. If not, maybe they don't deserve to get HF advantage. No one said this stuff should be easy. Let the best team win, and all of CUSA win their bowl games!
