Big rumor churning around out there. Don't know how valid it is, but the two people that separately told me are pretty knowledgeable or close enough. Evidently he's not happy with the pace or lack-there-of the on-campus stadium.

Don't know if I like it, if he were our new Head Coach. Seems entrenched in Mobile, but you never know.

I thought South was committed and can't imagine them letting him leave that easy although Ladd-Peebles is a total dump. I could see our Athletic Director and Search Committee getting duped into thinking he wanted to come only to be left at the altar - that is more believable.

I heard about this a couple weeks ago. I believe that he has put his name in the hat, at least. Lots of coaches do this to push their current administration into giving them a raise to keep them on board. He's chasing money most likely. Don't know if there's any real interest beyond that.

Jones makes around 350K I believe, where Larry made 511K. Troy is most likely looking in the 650 to 850K range. I believe they might be able to outkick USA, who I'm not sure would double their coaches salary after a year with little improvement (record-wise) from 2013.

He would probably get a raise anyway, especially if we go to a bowl game. I don't know that USA would even take this threat seriously. It makes 0 sense to make a lateral move to a program that needs rebuilding and is harder to recruit to.

we have a bigger budget than Troy, I just don't know if we would be willing to spot 800k+ for CJJ. He will get a raise anyway after this season and should.

Troy's football budget: 5,134,054

Your budget could go up, but it would have to go up 46% to match USA's current budget.
