No way a 6-6 Ohio gets an at large bid. There will be P5 teams that need homes.

Yikes... Why would they pin Ohio in the Armed Forces Bowl... I'm pretty sure they were high or drunk. 03-banghead

he gave all the p5 homes
air force and ohio are the g5 extras he picked

some surprising things is that he has the acc taking the new orleans over armed forced depsite the larger payout and better bowl slot... (new orleans does sellout becuase ulala does brng like 50k to that bowl a year, that the only reason i can see that happening)

and i dont get the air force, he has Air force as a replacement team but also says the MWC doesnt fill their slots ..mwc is tied to new orleans, if thats a typo a MWC goes to New Orleans, pitt goes to armed forces, cactus opens up for temple, if theirs an alterior motive and reason behind that i dont know

noticeable rejects from his list: south alabama, temple, uab & mtsu

He has no clue what he's talking about. There will be probably 2 "p5" teams that need to find a bowl. SEC and ACC/ND both have 12 eligible teams and may not have enough bowl tie ins. ACC has 10 tie ins. 11 if you include CFP for FSU. SEC has 11 tie ins if you include the CFP. Other conferences may have extra teams also.

Yes, but they wouldn't be going to New Orleans to face the sun belt and detroit. That's where he made an error. The extra ACC team will go to face the AAC not sun belt IMO. An extra SEC (Florida, Arkansas) may also be a possibility. Also don't see how AF can be a replacement...they would need to go to their primary tie ins first...and this includes NO bowl.

RE: cbssports updated bowl projections
This is the first year that I have seen so many eligible teams. It seems usually this time of year there are tons of bowls wondering if there will be enough to fill. I remember one year they gave a waiver to a 5-7 team.
