Too much supply will not help, economics 101.

Look I don't want meaningless expansion either, but a 45,000 seat stadium is not too large considering that close to 1/2 of the states population lives within an hour and thirty minute drive of the stadium, 2/3rds if you stretch that out to 2 hours. We are not talking about a 100k seat stadium like LSpoo.

I understand all that, I just don't like seeing so many empty seats during a game. Population proximity doesn't matter if they don't come. Think FIU FAU U of Miami and Tulane in the Dome. It frustrates me that we're not doing better in attendance this year. I guess we need a better level of competition......and I'm not talking about C-USA.

We are leading the conference in attendance with 2 rain games and a Tuesday game. With the politics in this state you have to build for the next 30 years, not the next 3

People also forget that 30+ years of our alumni are sitting in Tiger Stadium on Saturdays because our former president deliberately ran off any athletic support out there. He alienated students, fans and alumni for 30 years. I was an athlete here under Authement as president, and the difference from then to now is night and day. Yet it is still very far behind compared to other universities that were our peers in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. Like ECU, Fresno St, Nevada, Utah St, UCF and USM.

We have to bridge the gap between the over 55 crowd of diehard Cajun fans and the under 30 crowd of Cajun fans. The generations that were lost are not easily re-established.

Programs like App St, Ga Southern who for the most part have been very successful throughout their entire football history will never understand what an oppressive administration can do to hinder the growth of a program. They have not seen it first hand. They may have experienced a bad hire once or twice but not across the board for two plus decades.

Exactly!!! If you have the opportunity to build it now or get the funding, then DO IT!

Because you never know when one of the snakes in the grass in this Banana Republic of a state government we have, appears and kills it for political reasons. And trust me with the ridiculous overabundant number of small insecure universities we have, it only takes one to start petition the Legislature and whining.

I'm off to Cajun Field - Geaux Cajuns!!!!

I think Appy may be in trouble if their big DT is not playing today. They already look small upfront as it it! Eli and ZO have huge days today!

I'm very well aware of our current situation... Or lack there of.

No, you're not. You just think you are.

LOL!!If he gets his information from the AD's office or Administration, then he probably knows what they tell him. Too bad there has been no RCAF Fundraiser hired and the foundation has yet to be separated from the university. But hey, I'm sure those suites and upper decks are just a year away!07-coffee3

I don't, I'm gonna stay positive because of what the supporters of our program are willing to do in spite of the lack of leadership. My confidence is not in the front office, trust me...it's in our people and our economy.

We will never raise that kind of money relying on the same big donors like Charlie Moncla. You have to expand corporate donations and it's not getting done today period. There is no one capable of getting that done on campus today and certain people are fighting to keep the fundraising in house. I have confidence in our people and the economy, but I have zero confidence in the small timer that is running our athletic department and advising our president.
