Women and threes
Last year the ut women converted 28% of 3-point attempts. Zanoguera and Monokana combined for 23 of 125--18%.
Last night against St. Bonaventure we launched 19 threes, making 5--26%. Capotosto converted 3 of 6. The rest of the squad was 2 of 13. In two games so far this season we are 10 for 36--28%.
The Blade's write up of the game quotes Collup, "We had some things pointed out to us rather harshly that we needed to improve, and we did."
Though the sample is small, it appears that 3-point shooting has not improved.

RE: Women and threes
We have a bunch of tall clumsier girls (They're young, they'll be refined and more athletic as their careers develop). Shooting isn't much of a priority right now... Inma doesn't even look to score unless she is going at the basket. Emphasis looks to be on limiting turnovers, playing good defense, rebounding, and post play. It's not the same team as it was with Goody, Deuce, Naama, Ally Clifton, Riley McCormick, Yo, Dola etc...
