Good Lord, man. Nobody writes on the jerseys.
Do you mean the lettering?

Rooting for the program and the team to do well, but not the coaches? How is that possible?

Seems to me once you cross the coach-can't-coach line..you're stuck there waiting to be right. Gotta be hard to enjoy the victories, over on that side.

Cheers 04-cheers to all our coaches/trainers connecting with the info needed for team success and individual player development!

I am not ashamed to say that I certainly root for our coaches to do well, even after they leave Memphis generally. So I don't really get upset that people root for Pastner, hell he seems incredibly likable and I root for him too.

But the larger point I can get behind. It's the program, the city, the university, we root for. Coaches are to honored and respected, but they fall beneath the idea and community.

I am a Pastner fan.
I am a FAR LARGER MEMPHIS fan.

Not mutually exclusive at all, but I do hope people remember the priorities...

Further, I certainly support our coach, because… he is OUR coach. That is fine.

But when criticizing the team and coaches, it is helpful to remember the kids get a schollie and room/board, while the HC gets 7 digits.

Certainly be respectful of ALL in criticism (and heap the praise where deserved of course, positive reinforcement is the best when deserved), but if you must criticize… calibrate accordingly

If the Big 12 loses their bid to have a conference title game with just 10 teams. And they come calling. I see fans in about three years yelling for CJF head because he is not having a 7-3 or 8-2 seasons and challenging for the conference title.

I know how finicky our fan base is. If you are wanting to get rid of the head basketball couch with the best record in the history of the school after five years, due to a bad start. Then they will be after CJF if he does not compete for a Big 12 title right away.

It was year six when cal went to the elite 8. Josh is now in year six, let's see him just go to the sweet 16 then sing praises for him.
