Texas and Oklahoma are his recruiting grounds and TCU is an attractive job now that they are in the Big 12 and the commitment to football

TCU is effectively behind Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, A&M and Baylor just off the top of my head, when recruiting in that area.

C'mon folks. There are about 40 football jobs that Fuente would be dumb to turn down. Top half of all the 5 power conferences could get him from us. Enjoy him while he is here.

Charlie Strong is a different kind of coach. Tennessee wanted Strong. Even Florida fans wish they could land Strong

Fuente is obviously a great coach. There will be teams looking for coaches who will have there eyes on him. Just be glad we won't be worrying about paying yet another buyout when we have to find our next coach. I'm not saying our boosters couldn't get the money together. I don't think it would be about money. You just can't get the talent at memphis football in large numbers that you can get at the upper level p5 programs. A coach would be dumb to turn that down.

T Boone Pickens has soured on the OSU ( Grundy)coach. I could see them going after Fuente if they fire him.

Gundy ain't getting fired.

He may very well get the hell outta there though.
