Doubt he has a real shot, but pretty cool still.

Don't think a MAC coach would ever win National COY but unless we lose last two games he should win conference award.

Every WMU mentor since Doo has won MAC COY by his third season - except Harbaugh.

He could win the national award and still get snubbed by the MAC. Anyway, that kind of thing wouldn't surpries me with our conference.

Wow, very good. I would believe they would put coaches who seem to be Finalists to a Most Improved Coach of the Year, into the semi-finalists of Coach of the Year.

Now, if WMU beats @CMU and NIU -- and Toledo loses tonight, and WMU beats BGSU for the 2nd time -- then we get overmatched in a bowl but win -- THEN I would say he'd have a Real chance at That puppy.

Otherwise, I would say Most Improved Coach of the Year (do they have that?) -- he's well on his way to winning as long as we do what we've generally been doing.

If we win the next two games I'd think he would be MAC COY. He actually would have accomplished WTF, albeit tied with UT (if UT wins tonight).

Dear god that never clicked to me that he may have called this season if we pull it off.

Pretty cool being mentioned in the same breath as guys like Jimbo Fisher, Art Briles, Nick Saban, Mark Richt, Bill Snyder, Urban Meyer, and Gary Patterson.

My early pick would be either Hugh Freeze or Dan Mullen.

You could make a pretty good case for any of the semifinalists, with the exception of Richt IMO. I bet there are a large number of Georgia fans who would be surprised to see him on that list this year. I think he's a good coach - I just don't think this year has been anywhere close to his best work.

I would replace Richt with Justin Fuente of Memphis. I was surprised Fuente wasn't included.

Yes, Memphis is a basketball school that has been a football waste land for years.

Fuente is doing an incredible job there. I've been especially impressed with him and with Jim McIlwain at Colorado State.

McElwain wouldn't be a dark horse. According to Vegas, he's behind only Gundy for the odds on favorite to get the job.

2013 - a failed 2-point conversion from being winless.

2014 - potentially a failed extra point from the MAC Championship game.

GO BRONCOS.

Nice pic. It doesn't look like he is holding the ball or purse too securely.

If he fumbles, he'll take a plea and throw his O-line under the bus.
