Someone forgot to tell App State they were supposed to suck this year. Basketball off to a strong start this year league wise. Outside of Jonesboro that is.

What's the leagues best win this year? Haven't really been following it yet...

App over Virginia Tech on Saturday. ULM took #8 Florida to overtime on Friday, but didn't get the win.

App will struggle early, but Fox is a good coach. Sound familiar.

Who knows how many wins we get but I don't care. These kids will be well coached and play hard. Even the wife could tell a difference in the discipline and actually having a game plan.

I know it's off topic, but someone knows the answer. I just tried to buy tickets for GSU-GS basketball for March 7, and ticketmaster says there are no lower-level seats available. Is this because GSU sells this well, or are they on hold and will become available later?

Rebounding? Finishing a game? Having more than two players who can score consistently?

I like that the bench got some good court time. Wish we could see our issues straightening out, though.

And Chicago State is not a good team. No way this game should have been 33 -33 in the second half.

Lower level may actually be sold out. SBC Championships will so that. Call the school ticket office directly.

App has won their last 2 games. I don't even know what to think. We actually look like a real basketball team!

Apparently, those are our first back to back OOC wins in 5 years. After the way the season started I would not have been surprised to be 0-4 at this point.

Frank Eaves has become a tremendous contributor and leading scorer so far after essentially no significant contributions last year. Appears he is thriving under Fox. It will be interesting to see how quickly his recruits become more significant contributors. The beauty of this season is that the fans don't have high expectations so Fox has time to get his system in place.

Ga. Southern appears to be much improved this year from last. We have so much more depth this year than last and Hewitt and Weideman are both all conference type players.

As a conference we have a long way to go to get our RPI up. We are currently #30 (out of 33 conferences). Only the SWAC, Ivy and Independents are below us.

Guess who the best RPI team is right now? Ga. Southern at #39.

We better enjoy it because this is likely as high as it will be all year.

2 other teams under 100 right now: ULM at 85 and Ga. State at 97.

Way too early for RPI talk, especially since we've played 2 non-D1 teams.

Give it a few weeks.
