Unless he's going to get picked in the first four rounds of the draft, I'd say another season like this year will do nothing but increase his chances in the NFL.

A small nagging voice in the back of my head tells me to move on. Doughty has had his time, and this season has performed well beyond everyone's expectations. I don't know if he could follow that up again next year. I do know that he is immobile, and seems to cave under pressure.

I think if he stays we also run the risk of losing some of our promising young QBs on the team.

I don't guess I would be upset either way. I doubt the NCAA does us any favors anyway, so he probably won't be back even if we wanted him to.

Actually not everyone....

I expected this and more out of him with this system. If you read HH before the BG game I said BD would be 2nd best on the list of QBs Western would be facing this year (if his name was on that list).

But even with the numbers, which mainly comes from yards after the catch, BD has made some poor reads in a lot of our games. Might be coaching or it might be BD but something has changed...

Western has stopped going over the middle on passes we KILLED teams with and instead BD is going outside more and more. And it's not a pass he's very good at making if there's decent coverage. He under throws a lot of them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the kid we got from Bama can do. I know the coaches love his arm and running ability. But decision making is still the unknown. I know we would have at the very least 2 more wins if BD would/could run the ball.

I had to go back and look at this thread. I remember a few people who wanted BD out the door. What idiots........

you must be the freaking idiot because no one said they wanted BD out the door. And everything I said was true at that time and as far as his weakness on throwing to the outside....

it's still there, one was picked off that cost us a td at IU and one was dropped on our 2nd drive today that should have been a int.

You taking a post made in early nov of last year then want to project that to games after that. Don't work that way in the context of the post I made everything I said was true.

So lets just go back to that and see ...

UAB...BD slides on a run on 4th and 3 and comes up 1 yard short...SLIDES
FAU throws a pick on a outside throw that leads to a TD and FAU win on the very next play and BD gets 4 ints..all going outside vs Tech

But you're the freaking idiot for thinking I said I wanted BD out the door. I was about the only one going into the season last year singing BD's praises.

After that Tech game Western got back to...working the middle of the field..which lead to wins

Asswipe why would I say he was right and let him put words into my mouth. I pointed out BD's weakness and his inability to run...which cost us 2 games last year. Like everyone else I think BD is the best qb in this conference but I have no problem seeing or saying his weakness...

throwing the down and out

now go away asswipe soon enough BD and Western will be hanging 70 on that Marshall defense

03-lmfao that may be true...and I don't agree with him on hardly anything, but I have to give him credibility on what he has said....except for the hanging 70 on us... He has said that doughty has certain faults....

They kicked our ass in the first half... We kicked theirs in the second, and Brohm had the balls to go for two on the road...and doughty executed... Period...

He's not superman, but he is one helluva qb..

haha young guns on another forum, was talking about how much he would rather have had the kid that transferred from bama instead of BD multiple times. But the funniest part was that I quoted 2 people. The guy right above him said I think BD has had his time and time for him to move on.... SOOOOOOOOOOOO, actually at least one person in this thread said it...

no not at all, I meant another WKU guy in the post I quoted. Sorry for the misunderstanding. What is funny I went back to hilltop haven and found where I thought I remembered young guns say that he wanted BD to stay. It really wasn't hard... So Ill let him keep acting like an idiot and try to defend himself but here it is....

"I'm ready for new blood at QB with a dual threat qb

Starting the season I was a huge BD fan..still am but while most see huge numbers I saw a lot of bad reads especially the last 5 or 6 games. It seems like BD refuses to even look over the middle any more and lucky for us our running game found their legs or we wouldn't be going after our 6th win"

Okay bro.. I was curious as to what might've been said... I hope the east comes down to us this year... We both seem prone to "wtf" games... It is so difficult to go undefeated... However, if it comes down to a 7-0 matchup and you beat us.... I'll be pulling for you in the ccg which the east will host most likely... But as usuAl, the media is licking Boise states overrated testcles

Outstanding comment by BD, and confirms what we all knew was true...

Doughty became the 91st quarterback in FBS history to eclipse the 10,000-yard mark in his career Saturday.

Instead of patting himself on the back, Doughty as usual made fun of his own team seniority.

"That's pretty special," he said. "I should be going over 10,000 yards. I've been here for 27 years."
