Ever wonder why some coaches do a lot with a little? Players WANT to be competitive and win. It is not the players!!

Just Sayin... That is all!
I will bump this thread all season until some people wake the heck up!!

defense may have been part of the problem tonight but turnovers and 3-point shooting didn't help either

Austin is more dependable in the post as he has good hands. Austin has great post moves without a lot of wasted effort. I never trust Shaq to consistently take care of the ball in the post or rolling to the paint to produce points or draw fouls.

I just believe that for the most part players want to learn and play hard. But you have to wonder if the coaches are putting the players in the best position to win. I keep going back to that Virginia team we played in the tournament. They were not totally more athletic than we were, however there was a DEFENSIVE SYSTEM or DEFENSIVE STRATEGY in place that worked and was down right NASTY!!!
That is not on the players. It was a defensive strategy that was put in place by the coaches, period!

But, but I heard our coach say yesterday that the focus in camp has been defense and conditioning.
