Tulane parking question
Me and the wife were thinking of taking the St. Charles Trolley down to the game from our Hotel, but I've also heard they're working on part of that Trolley line. So just in case we can't do that and we need to drive, does anyone have any parking suggestions?

I know this is the first year it's on Campus and not in the super dome, so a lot of people might not have some info, but just judging from Google maps it doesn't look like there is much realestate around that part of town to park anywhere...

Do yourself a favor and splurge on the taxi cab. It won't be that much more than you pay for parking and it will be MUCH less of a headache.

Not to mention you can drink as much as you want.

If they are working on the streetcar line, they will have buses running the streetcar route, so you can still get there that way.

note that the streetcar runs on st. charles, which is at the very front of Tulane's campus, and the stadium is at the very back of campus. If it is a nice day and you dont mind the walk, no big deal. But by car or cab you'd get much closer to the stadium. If you want to drive, I'd check Tulane's web site or the athletic dept web site (or call them) to see what they say about parking. im sure they can let you know what parking is available around there or on campus. i'd have to agree on the cab recommendation, though, considering the street car would take 2-3 times as long to get there, depending on where you are staying and a cab will drop you much closer. cabs are much easier to come by in new orleans than in memphis.

The streetcar out St. Charles is a beautiful ride and everyone should do it once, but it does take a LONG time.

RE: Tulane parking question
I'm taking a cab out Claiborne, but the walk from St. Charles to the stadium isn't too far...it is only about .4 miles through campus. The walk from Claiborne to the stadium is about .2 miles.

After further review, the walk from St. Charles to the stadium looks more like .7 miles through campus.
