This needs to be sent to those that believes the BOT does right by UAB. For example Tony Kurre for JOX said this morning the BOT needs to keep UAB in check. UAB has been giving chances and they have failed.

Shared on Twitter and Facebook as of 2 minutes ago. This kind of run should have been taken at these bas****s when they sabotaged our OCS Proposal. They've really crossed the line now...(bleep)ers!

Maybe I'm misremembering the OCS fiasco of 2011, but it seems to me that all the same things were said by B'ham/JeffCo politicians, articles were written in support of an OCS, articles were written about the BOT, people got all fired up and . . . nothing happened.
And one other concern for me is that IF the UAB administration recommends that football be ended or de-emphasized, it'll be harder to get the public fired up about the BOT as bully.
I'm not convinced that the study will be as bad as folks expect. But I have been wrong before--as have some crying gloom and doom now.

In the culture of Alabama, having the politicians of "B'ham/Jeffco" all upset is about as effective in the state as saying the politicians of SIBERIA are upset about the way UAB has been treated. Those power brokers who run the system BOT did not get to be multimillionaires by being poor judges of how money works and Alabamians think. If no one has caught on by now, they are master Alabama politicians and know very well how to play that game in this state.

RE: Archibald: How the UA Trustees for Decades Toyed with UAB Athletics
It seemed like the movement to split was gaining traction until one of the bill's co-sponsors withdrew his support after the BOT "encouraged" him to drop it after PBJ & Co. started to address some of UAH's concerns (such as closing the UA federal contracting office that would have competed against Huntsville).
