Not hip to that one. You would want Dodson over that guy anyway.

He had a big game on Saturday with 3 carries for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns. Of course, Ole Miss was playing a church league team.

He ain't happy chief. He doesn't want to play behind Mathers and Walton again in his Jr. season.

RE: RB Mark Dodson transfer to Memphis?
not to mention....the reason Memphis is a possibility (besides being from here) would be because he might be able to play immediately without sitting out a year.

RE: RB Mark Dodson transfer to Memphis?
I like Dodson. He deserves more PT at OM, but that RB room is loaded. Mathers, Walton, Wilkins. Not to mention a Juco that was RS'd and a 4-star incoming.

That being said, I haven't heard that rumor. Makes sense, but not sure if it's real...

He might be alluding to the NCAA precedent that if you are transferring "home" to be near a family member with an illness, you can transfer without sitting out a year. Some relative in Memphis needs to develop a hangnail.

And the kid at Georgia, is his name Dodson too?

Edit: Not Dodson, Dawson. Sheldon Dawson.

The hardship waiver has been amended now so instead of granting the player the ability to play immediately they give them an extra year to play. In theory this is so that they can focus on their hardship. The run-off rule similar to what Woodson used is the new favorite and allows the player to play immediately. All he has to do is to get some cooperation from the Ole Miss staff.

I'm thinking hell would have to "Freeze" over before that had a chance to happen.

He let his 2nd best o-lineman transfer to an SEC west rival to be close to a sick relative. I can see Freeze allowing it if Dodson wanted out. He doesn't want kids in his program that aren't bought in...not saying that applies to Dodson, just sayin'.
