That's a good point, banker. But I've never seen one (1) LA Tech fan (including myself) say LA Tech can't be beat. To the contrary, LA Tech was 4-8 last year, and we lost to an FCS team earlier this year. But LA Tech is also a "battle scarred" veteran now. We KNOW we can lose games because we have. And we also KNOW we can win games. And considering where we were last year, well our fans are just excited about the HUGE turnaround this season.

The biggest problem is, Marshall REALLY DOES HAVE one of the weakest football schedules outside of Div III. You know it, I know it, and literally everybody on this board knows it. It's the 900 lb gorilla in the room. Hell, the NATION knows it, and that's why it's reflected in Marshall's poor polling.

I want to see Marshall beat a quality football team. (It's the same thing I would want for LA Tech if the roles were reversed.) That really hasn't happened yet. That doesn't mean I don't respect Marshall's talent.....I've repeatedly said I DO. But, it's just a crying shame that Marshall football in 2014 may go down in history as the BEST TEAM that nobody ever heard of because of poor OOC scheduling.

PS: (and yes, I know the story about the scheduling hiccup, but nobody really cares.)

HogDawd wants to see Marshall beat a decent team. Go watch our bowl victory over Maryland, a home game for them. We did not have our big back (at that position), nor most of our much improved receiving corps. And, the kids were a year younger. Yet we won that by 2 scores.

Is it that you don't know, or that you are afraid to admit what is actually going to be done to your little team on 12/6?

For that matter, go watch the video of The Herd butt-raping MTSU. Not that you really want to see it.

uhm - I think both set of posters got upset because no one give their teams any credit. And you herd folks are very sensitive bunch. Until we play, Tech fans would careless if Marshall is ranked or chosen higher since Marshall is deserved it (undefeated) while we lost to FCF team.
The whole smack talk was Marshall shouldn't look down on other conference team because of your 8-0 start on a weak schedule.

I genuinely think Marshall has earned the top spot. However this is a fickle game and Rice, UAB and the West Champs are legitimate threats to an undefeated season. Marshalls schedule is tougher towards the end. Don't let a little trash talk East and West poison the well.

And I'm not acting as anyone's PR firm, I just don't understand Tech's argument in general, Marshall's schedule is bad, but the difference between Tech's seven FBS victories and Marshall's eight FBS victories is negligible, but Marshall has yet to be challenged, let alone lose to a FCS team.

Same here. I guarantee you LA Tech fans are not looking past Rice. They absolutely DONKEY STOMPED LA Tech last year. Just beating Rice will take a Herculean effort from LA Tech this year. The difference between us and Marshall is, we KNOW it, and acknowledge it.
