Good luck to P-Burg this week. They're going to need it. Nordonia is a beast.

btt..

Hey--The Burg play in the semi-final Friday night which the OHSAA site reports to be in Sandusky. That's a pretty easy drive, so I thought I would mention it if anyone wants to head out there to support a local HS team. I'm thinking about it. I haven't been to a HS game since I went over to Whitmer to check out all the hype over Eric Page. It's a really big deal for Pburg, of course.

Or head on out to Lake High School, even closer than Sandusky to watch Central Catholic in their 11th consecutive playoff run as they face Bowling Green.

Good luck to both local teams.

RE: #1 Perrysburg vs Massillon
Just got back in from Sandusky. Perrysburg put up 2 quick scores and managed to hold the advantage until midway through the 4th quarter. For some reason Pburg's kick offs were always on-side, squib kicks, or short kicks and they always gave Nordonia a short field. Over and over Nordonia took advantage of it and kept themselves in the game. They tied it up with a couple minutes left. Pburg had a great drive, aided by a 15 yard penalty, but had to settle for a FG. Nordonia ran the ensuing kickoff back for a TD and took the lead. Pburg had a little time, but turned if over on downs. Final was 56-52 I believe. Nordonia's QB got a hot hand in the 2nd half a made some long throws that Pburg could not defend. They also managed to shut down Dimmerling's running at the end when it mattered. I think the key to the game was field position. Nordonia had it way too easy.

Wow, what a game up in Sandusky. Nordonia led only once in the game and that's when they went up 56-52 on a kickoff return TD. Crazy!

Perrysburg has only TRAILED once, ALL SEASON. 04-jawdrop

Dimmerling, no offers? 03-rotfl College football: home of WAY too many millionaires, getting their scouting from a magazine.

The score was NOT a case of poor D. Lots of unforced penalties on O but the Offenses were extremely well coached. Nordonia's athletes were as advertised but P-burg's are equally under-appreciated.

I haven't seen much of P-Burg but I was surprised they were relying on the pass in the first half to set up the run. Not just the pass, but against one specific OSU commit. The first pass garnered much yardage but also seemed to kill several drives before they seemed on their third td drive to get to what seemed to get them to this game.

As exciting as the game was, it wasn't near what it could have been. I like Sandusky. I like the people of Sandusky. But that stadium, the stands are so far from the field and from each other, all the noise and pageantry are lost in the aether.
