The purpose of this thread is to publish a retraction of any and all previous statements I may have made on this message board in which I alleged, adopted, repeated or mentioned the unfounded rumors that a previously-unnamed member of the Zeigler family (who shall continue to remain nameless here) had an adulterous affair with Mr. PJ Fleck and that the Zeigler Auto Group had pulled all of its funding from Western Michigan University as a result.

A legal firm has stated that those statements are false, defamatory and legally actionable.

This official retraction of all my previous comments I may have made on this message board regarding the above-described erroneous rumor, whether made in a humorous and satirical way or not, has been attempted within the best of my ability to match the same size type and in substantially the same manner as the alleged original libel occurred in this message forum. Apologies to all parties involved.

I have no first hand knowledge of any improper conduct involving P.J. Fleck and anyone else, including Mr. Zeigler's son's wife. I was wrong to post a message which essentially references my thoughts concerning a rumor which was posted by someone else. I apologize if my message was viewed by anyone as a negative statement as to the character of Mr. Fleck or Mr. Zeigler's son's wife.

A letter relayed via this web board to us which was constructed by a legal firm has stated that these statements are false, defamatory and legally actionable.

I myself have no firsthand knowledge of the parties mentioned therefore I should not have repeated the rumor which I had no knowledge of firsthand. I should not have repeatedly referred to the rumor in subsequent posts, which have been since deleted as well, and apologize to all offended parties.

Again, the intent of this post is to issue a full retraction statement of all posts where I repeated the rumor and stated that I believed it to be true. This has been attempted within the best of my ability to match the same size type and in substantially the same manner as the alleged original posts in "Fire Fleck" thread.

The intent of this post is to issue a retraction of any and all statements made by myself, that have been linked to and included in the complaint filed by a legal firm in regards to the topic of rumors that were unfortunately being discussed in the "Fire Fleck" thread of the Bronco Stampede, and have been declared false, defamatory and legally actionable by said legal team.

While I have reviewed the complaint and do not believe that I in fact referred to or added to the discussion regarding the party that has filed the complaint. I do retract the 3 emoticons that were posted as a reply to the original comment that in fact did reference a specific individual of whom I in fact have no first hand knowledge of any of said persons personal activities. I would also like to retract statements that were made in response to another poster pointing out a change in our head football coaches biographical status, as I have no first hand knowledge as to why any of the changes to said bio may or may not have occurred. And finally, I would like to retract my comment regarding how the WMU Athletic Dept may or may not hypothetically react to and handle any situation that comes up of the nature in which the rumor that I had no first hand knowledge of and that had been discussed on this message board.

I have no first hand knowledge of the offended parties mentioned, their public or private lives. With this in mind, I once again retract any statements that may or may not have been attributed to this discussion and offer my sincere apologies for any anguish that has been caused by this unfortunate event.

I believe to the best of my ability that this matches the same size type and has been posted in the same manner as the original posts in the "Fire Fleck" thread.

I hereby retract any and all claims I made in postings on Bronco Stampede under the thread "Fire Fleck" or others I either originated, confirmed, or published that an unnamed member of the Ziegler family and Mr. PJ Fleck engaged in adulterous extramarital affair, and that Ziegler Auto Group has withdrawn all of its funding from Western Michigan University as a result.

A law firm has communicated to me via csnbbs.com that these claims are false, defamatory, and legally actionable.

Since I had no first-hand knowledge of the alleged affair and withdrawal of funding, I should not have published them. I sincerely apologize to all affected or offended.

As far as practicable, I am publishing and communicating this retraction in the same size type and the same manner as the original posts.

My post in the 'Fire Fleck' thread, since deleted, was made in response to the Major Hoople post #1236 (since deleted) and was intended to express my belief solely in the rumor that Coach Fleck had overspent his budget . There was no intent, express or implied, to state support to any other posts relating to alleged rumors or statements regarding the Zeiglers or their business. You will note there was never another post from me in the Fire Fleck thread, except for one very brief comment (post #1022) to state I was using the ignore feature for two posters. This posting has been made, with the best of my ability, to match the same size type and to be in substantially the same manner as my post in the Fire Fleck thread.

I too commented on occasion about the postings to this thread. But, my responses in denial of and questioning of its validity, may have lead to continued discussion. I tried to stop the discussion on several occasions, and should have stayed away from the thread all together.
