Main talking points for UAB Football and its future:
• All over the country, college football is being used as a strategic element to increase enrollment, build an alumni base and greatly increase economic development for their communities.
• A robust football program is a great attraction for new students and a bond-builder between the university, the students, and the alumni.
• With the hiring of Coach Bill Clark, UAB Football has seen a resurgence with energy and passion being displayed by students, fans and the greater community.
• UAB ranks fifth in Conference USA in attendance so far this season, and it's up over 130% from last year.
• Bill Clark and his team have created this success with the same subpar facilities we have had for years.
• We need to make every effort to keep Coach Clark at UAB and improve the facilities to give him and the program the best opportunity to succeed.
• At this moment, UAB Football is poised to become Birmingham's team, and a source of pride for the UAB Administration, the Board of Trustees, the City of Birmingham, and most importantly for students and alumni of UAB.
• UAB donors and alumni are ready to commit to this success, but we need our administration to make that commitment with us.

* This cannot turn into a UAB vs Bama thing. They will try and sucker you in to that but avoid it. It is about UAB. Stay positive in all comments on social media and al.com. We have our coach, we have our team. we are heading in the right direction and we are going to support coach Clark and UAB.

* Do not make posts and comments that in any way can be interpreted as gloom and doom. Avoid shutting down the program talk and re-direct it to support of Clark and UAB. We cannot make it sound like the program is on the verge of being shut down. This is about support for the program.

* We want the City and County to join us because UAB Football is great for this City, County, and Central Alabama.

* Do not be negative towards Bama or the BOT. People will try to steer us there but keep it about UAB and stay positive.

My disdain for UAT is at a critical level.

*ETSU dropped football and is now restarting the program because community and alumni support for the entire program dropped.

Yep, this. They were a test case and it didn't work. It's blows the "financial" excuse out the water.
