Raiders set graduation success rate record
from the DNJ:

Quote:...men's and women's basketball teams recorded perfect (100 percent) GSR scores, tying for the best mark in Division I.

The football team earned an 87 percent rate, which tied for 12th in the Football Bowl Subdivision and second in Conference USA (Texas-San Antonio, 100 percent).

"Our continuous improvement in the Graduation Success Rate underscores our commitment to the success of all of our students, including our athletes,"McPhee said. "I am very proud that our athletes are winning in the classroom as well as in competition."

It was the second straight year that MTSU scored above 80 percent, breaking the previous school record of 82 percent set last year.

The Blue Raiders also ranked third overall out of the 14 teams in Conference USA, trailing only Charlotte's and Rice's 92 percent.

Overall among football playing members of C-USA, the Blue Raiders ranked second behind Rice.

Of the four FBS programs in the state of Tennessee, MTSU ranked second behind only Vanderbilt's 90 percent.

Memphis turned in an 84 percent score while Tennessee earned an 78 percent score.....
