Hasn't been an issue because of the time the line gave him all year, but it was in the 2nd half yesterday. A man in his 50's could have broke on the ball that got picked and thrown to Davis.

I'm not saying Terrell is bad. In fact, he is very good and performed better than most of us could imagine. But I guarantee Fleck is opening the job up for competition next year.

I'm excited to see Stewart's and Thomas' progression, and if it is enough to truly push Terrell. The more competition, the better.

I agree, I don't think he's handed the job.

I dont think PJ puts his future on a new starter next year unless someone blows the boat out of the water. Zach can get better on read progression but no one has the game experience he does. He was a winner this year.

Matt Johnson took the job away from a two year starter and it didn't hurt BG.

I once asked Hawkins his recruiting philosophy. "To get players that are better than the ones I already have."

NO WAY does Terrell lose his Starting Spot. A Redshirt Freshman/Sophomore with next years brutal schedule has trouble written all over it!

I agree. I just don't think it's handed to him because he won 8 games this year. He is the type of QB that always has to earn things. I think he probably will.

RE: Zach Terrell
Great article, Zach really has matured like crazy over the past year - and I absolutely love this:

Quote:"There is a period in practice with all freshmen going 11-on-11 or seven-on-seven and coaches are not allowed to coach during that time," Fleck explained. "Zach Terrell is in charge of Tom Flacco and Jon Wassink. ...It gives the players the ability to know what it's like to teach something. The greatest form of mastery is teaching and that's where he's at. Whatever the result of that is he just has to keep learning and keep teaching every single day."

I'd like to see ZT release a little quicker. He seems indecisive at times. I think he's played good to start the season, minus a few fluke picks. Not elite, but good.

He's THE leader of this team and growing into a great man. On and off the field.

Last quarter MSU he had about 2 1/2 lbs of tape on the left ankle. Can't really step into your throw with a bad ankle. Hope it heals quick.

After 3 games, ZT is 10th in the nation with 947 passing yards, while completing a tidy 70.7% 8 touchdowns, 5 (some bad bounce) INT's.

RE: Zach Terrell
Zach hasn't needed to throw for a ton of yards yet this year. But after 2 games he's over 70% with completions and has thrown 5 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. He has kept drives alive by running as well.

This guy is really incredible. While other FBS QB's are out date-raping and thieving, this guy is getting his masters, interning at Denso, leading Bible studies, doing Good Works...all this on top of everything else it takes for a QB to have his kind of efficiency and leadership at the FBS level.

So fortunate to have a leader with his character and work ethic to get these highly-rated recruits where they need to be at the collegiate level. We can all be proud of this Bronco.

What is not to love about that guy? Honestly. He is the kid that anyone would pick to marry their daughter. As great a quarterback as he is, is sure seems he is tent times the person.

As a QB, he is as smart and tough as they come, at any level. Always has had the guts to stand in a tight pocket, and deliver a great pass the millisecond before getting hit hard.

Character is the word to describe Terrell

Nice article.
I remember when there was a local Kalamazoo newspaper & sportswriters producing articles like the above from ESPN. Currently m-live hardly knows or cares Kalamazoo & WMU exists.
