FAU has won 6 in a row at home and has not scored less than 41 there this season.

I know FAU folks have this in ink as an easy win but I still have it penciled in as a toss up that we can win. I guess that is why you play the game any way. Everyone has us in ink as a win so every game we have nothing to lose. I'll be there in person.

Don't let one fan represent the entire fan base.

I didn't. I did read other message boards though and there have been other comments.

I think most of those fans are basing their predictions off of Clements not starting, and I think most of those are fair predictions if that is the case. Once we get word on his status, I think most of those predictions will either stay or be tampered down. Like I said in a post earlier, I have FAU by 12 without Clements, with Clements I have UAB by 6.

I think UAB's QB is going to play a much smaller role in this game than UAB's RBs. If UAB's running game gets going they stand a very good chance of winning. Otherwise, it is going to be FAU.

I think one reason why we've struggled so much against is the run is because every team we've played is a solid, balanced team (Alabama, Nebraska) or pass centric (Marshall, WKU). Now that we have a chance to play a run first team on our level, I think we'll but some more bodies in the box INCLUDDING a safety up to in run support.
That being said, we've done that before, and have still found ways to lose games. It's what makes college football so great, anything can happen any given Saturday.

I don't think stacking the box will work. I think we have just enough weapons at receiver and TE to help out our QB whether it is Briscoe or Clements. I think the key is to stay ahead of the down and yard marks with a mix of runs and short/medium passes. the second we start forcing the big play is the second we start to lose the game. Take what the defense gives you and let the player make a spectacular play.
