But we and UL ended up as co-champions and IF the bowl eligibility happened, what do you think would be the chances that some bowl would want to set up a "conference championship" bowl matchup? I think it would be great, but...

None, the chances of you getting a bowl are slim and none...if you get one, it will be wherever they fall short...good chance in BFE somewhere.

That's an interesting concept though I'm sure most Cajun fans would freak out at the thought. As for the chances of it happening, South Louisiana will first be covered in snow in August.

None, the chances of you getting a bowl are slim and none...if you get one, it will be wherever they fall short...good chance in BFE somewhere.

technically, with records sitting where they are now, if most teams who are favored to win their games win, there would be 2 open spots. So it isn't as slim to none as you may think.

That's why they play the games. Favorites change week to week with each teams wins, losses and injuries. That's why they release spreads every week. Don't be surprised when a P5 with a 5-7 record gets taken before you. The bowls are all about money, if you can get a waiver so can they. There is zero chance of them putting together a championship, if you get a bowl it's gonna be wherever they are short and the off man out. You would trickle all the way to the bottom.

Not for nothing, but it would be a HORRIBLE idea to have two Sun Belt teams play each other in bowl games.

1. It reduces the maximum number of bowl victories we can get (that hurts prestige).
2. It reduces the amount of television time the Sun Belt would get from bowls (less exposure).
3. Bowls are a chance for us to put our best and brightest up against other conferences' best and brightest. Us playing each other would be no good.
4. Still wouldn't matter from Sun Belt perspective, you (in theory) would both be champions.

I'm a glass half-full kinda a guy. Such an arrangement would guarantee the Belt of a bowl victory. I bet the MAC would jump at the chance.

Cant happen. We have to fill our three slotted bowls first before you guys can be picked, even if you are declared eligible. (NCAA Rules)

If the Eagles are allowed to go to a Bowl, its probably not going to be close by.

And there are certain teams that apparently waited until conference play to start playing that really need to redeem themselves against a non-conference foe.
