Temple fans a question?
We have tickets in Section 138. Do these seats have chair backs or metal bleachers? Thanks in advance!02-13-banana

LFF is an NFL stadium. All of the seats have backs to them!

For the record I would like to say that I consider it to be the best football stadium that I have ever been in. The new widescreen tv is amazing. There is nothing bad about the place. The problem for us is that it is just too darn big and far from campus ...

For the record, 8 miles away isn't too far from campus.

In this particular case, I'm not sure an on-campus stadium is a great idea IMO. While you may get a nice increase of students to the games you'll suffer a bigger drop of outside attendance. Plus, you'll never get cash cow Penn State to come to the on campus stadium.

Safety is a concern for unfamiliar patrons traveling to north Philly. I remember going to Shibe Park/Connie Mack Stadium in north Philly as a kid. Local kids "required" $5 ransom for not stealing your tires when parking your car. The shake down practice brought an end to the stadium and the beginning of the sports complex as it exist today.

Haven't you admittedly not been back to campus in a long time? It's nothing remotely like that. No one has an issue at the Liacouras Center.

Seriously, Shibe Park was razed in 1976. It's almost 2015.

Glad to hear that it's not like that anymore. Yes, it's been along time.

I last saw a game in Connie Mack Stadium(old Shibe Park) in 1970. Veterans Stadium opened in 1971 officially.

I last was on Temple's campus in 1981, actually playing pick up basketball games there. I don't remember the name of the building but it didn't seat that many.

It's like a 12 minute subway ride.

In answer to the beer question, they sell mostly expensive lousy beer (Coors Light). Go to Xfinity Live or the tailgates for better beer, or bring your own to your tailgate. Can't bring anything like that inside the stadium. Enjoy the trip. It is a good stadium. We need some sustained success to fill it (or at least get 40K).

Seats have cup holders and more importanly.. try the Chickie and Pete's crab fries.

I can't believe people still whine about the distance of the stadium from campus.. seriously?

When they show stadium shots of the fans... you wont be included and everyone will say .... looks like 12k people there.

Is it sad that I used this reasoning when I decided which ticket I should purchase?
