Big 12 Expanding?

FTR, there is less than a 1% chance of that exact scenario playing out.

Programs that don't want to share revenue with members that bring nothing to the table, AND wanting to make travel easier...adding ECU.

Funny.

The best part of that to me is adding BOTH UCF and USF...

ONE of those brings something to the table.

Also...ANY B12 expansion WILL include at least one Texas school.

Isn't that the same writer that threw a temper tantrum about Memphis basketball bullying his Thundering Herd?

I'm surprised he'd want us back in the same league and beating them up again.

Why both Florida schools? You think they'd have enough sense to get different tv markets

If they expand by 2 teams, probably not. If they expand by 4 then probably. If they expand by 4 we are probably in, but it has been like pulling teeth to get them to expand by 2.

If they expand by 4, I would guess (hope) that it would be us, Cincy, Houston, and either USF or UCF. Cincy seems to be the only lock.

If they go by two I'd think Cincy and Houston. If they go 4, I'm hopefully optimistic Cincy, Houston, UCF, and Memphis.

Why would they need Houston? Because they lost A&M?

Funny.

Exactly, if ECU is mentioned anywhere, I stop reading immediately.

I don't know why any Big 12 school; especially the Texas schools, would want Houston. They historically can't draw flies to their games and the other Texas schools would have to fight for recruits with them. I would think that adding us would give the rest of the schools an inroad to a new market for tv and recruiting.

We would also be a nice fit geographically for just about everyone.

Yep, sure is.

Special Treatment for Tigers sickening after a 87-67 loss to us.

First, it's Chuck Landon.

Second, the rumor he is quoting was started by "TuxedoYoda," one of the biggest realignment trolls on the internet. Think tigerscane, except without the pleasant attitude, and with a worse prediction record.

What kind of reporter reports on rumors?

That kind, apparently.

Not to mention, he obviously did no research. The B12 will probably go add a CCG, but they are not going to have to go to 12 teams to do it, thanks to a proposed new rule which is sure to pass in January.

And why would the B12 add FOUR teams, anyway?

Beyond all that, they got the wrong 4 most likely teams. As a matter of fact, they only got one right.

What kind of reporter reports on rumors?

Today about 90% of sports reporters.

If so, they never admitted it. Both are supposedly WVU fans, or at least are from the state. They might as well be the same person.

When I first read this, I immediately thought that Landon is tuxedo and the dude. Why even quote those two jokes unless you are the joke?
