If you have any interest, please check out the page I've started at canisimaginis.com. I'm trying to compile as many pics as possible of mixed-breed (or purebred, but those are easy to find photos of) dogs that have had DNA tests performed on them. I definitely welcome your input!

Same here. We've ended up with a few homeless puredbreds (e.g. two puppy mill reject chihuahuas at the moment) but have mostly had mutts and loved it! My current canine best friend turns out to be a labrador retriever/rat terrier mix, according to her DNA test.

I might be interested in doing this. About how much does it cost?

Tests can be found for under $60 these days, now that they're pretty easy to find on Amazon and eBay. (When I first tried it, years ago, I think I paid $120 for a test that included far fewer breeds than they do now.) Mars Veterinary seems to have cornered the market (absorbing their competitors), so most of the tests you'll find are some variation of their Wisdom Panel line.

The tests are fun. Just got back one for another of our dogs a few days ago. Apparently she's 1/4 dalmation, which we hadn't thought about at all before (since folks usually identify dalmation mixes based on spots, which Angel lacks).
