The biggest issue last year with the seeds were self inflected. Louisville didn't do anything outside of the conference and then looked like at top four team in the league. Cincinnati was solid outside of the conference, won a share of the league title but picked up a few too many losses in the last month while other teams went on runs. UConn was good outside of the conference but finished in a three way tie for third place. SMU didn't have the non-conference resume or the road wins.

If Cincinnati would have defeated Louisville in Cincinnati to win the league outright or if UConn had finished closer to UC or Louisville the overall seeds would have been better. Louisville did nothing outside of the conference which made the entire league look bad when they went on a huge run to win a share of the league title and the conference tournament. I believe the committee seeds your top team and then places everyone else below that point.

And UCONN made some delicious lemonade!
