Some are saying with this recruit, UCF has a top 25 recruiting class for this coming year with Tanksley Efianayi, Chad Brown, and Chance McSpadden already committed.

Seriously not trying to be an ass or anything, but how is a class with nothing but unranked 3 star players close to being a top 25 class nationally?

It looks like a nice class, but I just don't see how it is even in the conversation for top 25 nationally.

...uh, oh....I smell a warning/banning on the horizon. 03-lmfao
Why? I'm not saying the class sucks or anything. I'd be happy to have ANY of those guys committed to Charlotte. I'm just not seeing it as top 25 worthy unless things are way different this season than most seasons. Generally have to have at least 1 nationally ranked player committed to be in that conversation.

That's not a top 25 class but it is solid. A bunch of 3* players will not make you top 25 in basketball

I looked at the top 25 for 2015 and I don't think we will be in those rankings unless a few get upgraded during the season. Probably top 50 worthy with players all on that 3/4 star range. ESPN lists Fall as a 4 star for the record.

We had 2 top 100 national recruits decommit out of 2015. That would have been a top 25 class.

From where UCF the past few years in recruiting, we're back in it!

I'm just glad i got to experience the Marcus Jordan years. It really was fun to watch him, and the rest of the guys play their heart out against Florida, and Miami.

Hopefully we'll become one of those balanced schools that are solid in both main college sports... a la Florida or Ohio State (Most years)

Yeah it's a solid class to build on but not top 25 worthy that was said during the thread.

It isn't a top but a solid group. And I would love to add Charlotte and replace one of our members, but I didn't say that out loud.

If I were an AAC fan, I wouldn't want us for anything except maybe a soccer affiliate.

We're going to blow at football next year (and probably for several years after) and our basketball team can't see to stop losing major contributors every season.

We're a trainwreck. We might still be decent at basketball this year, but losing our player with arguably the highest ceiling (and 12ppg last season) 3 weeks before the season started just makes me want to 03-banghead

Marcus Jordan and Jeff for that matter was absolutely huge for ucf. Just to say ucf is good enough for a Jordan legend really helps in recruiting. I really liked how Michael Jordan handled that situation too. Always put himself way in the background at games and always made it about his kids. Basically had a mob waiting for him.

It eems a bit unusual that the last two 7 footers committed (hopefully signed) that programs that we shared a conference with were both named "Fall"....at least from memory I don't remember another 7 footer between Bamba and Tacko.

Tacko sure seems to be recruited and offered by traditionally good basketball programs that don't wave offers around to players that they don't believe are legitimate contributors.

I hope the best for him. McBride will break him in practice.

An awful lot of good basketball schools offered that "project that won't pan out".

03-phew

You guys already experimented with a 7-5 guy a few yeas ago and he never saw the court. I understand the skepticism.

USF had a 7'3" 315 Lb guy... great kid but never really developed into anything. He transfered last year when it became evident he wasnt gonna get a ton of palying time.

Most of the time the bigger guys just dont work out the kinks. The taller they are the rarer it is.

It may help in basketball... not certain. We have Tony Dungy's son as a WR on our football team and I am not certain how much that is helping. I hope it can land us some recruits but I am not counting on it.

No offense to dungy or his son, but Jordan walks into a mall a damn near riot breaks out to greet him. A whole shoe brand named after him that pulls in hundreds of millions. Jordan son would go to Vegas and blow $50k on the weekend. Not bad for a poor college student. Other players got to hang around that lifestyle.

better to have an underrated class than an overrated one. don't see the need to try and big up the class before they even set foot on the court. they'll either produce or not.

Chad Brown is a good get. Basically got unranked because of the early commitment, but he might be one of the best high school defenders in Florida. Pretty loyal guy too because he has plenty of elite programs after him.

We just need to get past this season and be "decent" then get back to the full scholarship level and all this talent ready to go.

Certainly you'd like production over hype. We've had neither in basketball, so we welcome either with open arms.

It was a joke...

Some UCF fans get bent out of shape if you say anything remotely negative...
Although the majority of the level headed fans understand that it's a project type of signing that may or may not pay dividends down the road.

His kids were 'okay' but were more of a distraction than anything else...
