Is it just my imagination or does ESPN purposely minimize the scrolling of "G5" scores during game broadcasts? As to be expected, they mainly show scores involving Top 10 teams, then the scores from remaining "P5" games. Next, they begin showing scores from FCS and even Division 2 games. Finally, if you are patient, you might see a few AAC scores. When I pointed this out to my wife, she was first infuriated and then puzzled, saying "Bethune-Cookman? I thought ESPN had an investment in the AAC!?!". To that, I had no answer.
RE: The Scores ESPN Scrolls During Game Broadcasts
I've seen AAc scores on there. One thing to remember like this past weekend- only 2 AAC games were on Saturday. So pretty easy if you aren't paying 100% attention to miss it.

During the Memphis game that GA was watching there were no other AAC games being played so there was nothing else to show.
I am more annoyed how ESPN calls the conference American instead of AAC so that it shows up after ACC in their lists of conferences.

they will have games coming up in the ticker as well.
I think ESPN calling you guys the American is more from the AAC's side than anything else quite frankly. Aresco made that clear from the get go I think.

That's because "The American" is the name of the conference. They didn't want to be identified as the AAC but that's what some of the media has chosen to call us.

i think you can blame that on the AAC Conference HQ. They have insisted we be called The American.

It's usually a top-25 ticker.
I agree. That seems to be the crawl almost everytime I look down at it. When games start to get one sided, they'll also show on the left side of the screen the scores of the other games on their family of channels pretty frequently. Can't begrudge them that, it's just good marketing.
I'd say outside of the top25 crawl, you're as likely to see an SEC, AAC, or even FCS score.

I like his response...but who is included in the statement "What's best is to have teams from all over..."? Only P5? That may be getting a little granular with the topic in the video but the question is applicable.

I've seen that thing on the left side- they show that a lot of times even in close games. That's more when they have games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, ABC- where they can update all the other games they have at once.

I ve noticed that Espin has been doing this for the past 10 years at least with CUSA and MWC particularly. They got scared when Utah, TCU had huge years and boycotted highlights. (espin had no mwc games during those seasons) I also noticed it happening to ECU Houston and Memphis (basketball) during consistently ranked years...
